I'm now in my fourth season with the awesome Echo SRM-225 weed eater and I still only have good things to say about it! If you're looking to buy this trimmer, this video is for you. I start the trimmer up for the very first time of the year and it runs great!
If you're looking for the best weed wacker, weed eater, or gas trimmer - whatever you call it - for your yard and lawn, this is the best option (in my opinion) ! It has lots of power and cuts through even knee high grass easily. I've never had an issue and I use this thing all the time!

I have a 225 from 2011 and it still runs good. I also have an old 210 from 1998 and IT also still runs!

I have two and weedeated 2400 headstones a week for 32 weeks, they still run great. Head wore out on one cheap easy fix and had to pull the spark arrestors out, other than that I am extremely impressed these being their cheapest straight shaft trimmers.

@@kdcustoms1272 it's still going strong. Its an unbelievable machine. I returned two echos bigger models that I thought I would need in addition to the 225 but they were junk imo. I will keep going with the 225 when I eventually need to down the road. Amazing

Echo equipment LASTS FOREVER!!! I still have my GT-200r from 2008! And it starts withing 4 pulls MAX, and that is WITHOUT prime. It will need a new diaphragm soon, It doesn't like to idle too well

Echos srm225 is there bread and butter it handles hard commercial usage i would never buy any trimmer lower then a 25.4 cc but we started using these little srm225 like 4 years ago as hedge trimmers we take out the trimmer head and attach a articulated hedge trimmer attachment or a fixed hedge trimmer attachment cuz of the weight and less fatigue on my employees i run them 6 days a week none stop and have been extremely reliable they have really surprised me how well they handle hard commercial usage.

Does your SRM 225 have any oil leaking coming from the exhaust area? Mine has around 2 hours on it and it is having some oil splatter on the plastic exhaust housing area. I am not very happy about it.
