This was a DVD that I got from Amazon a few years back after I saw it at my old workplace one day. I thought it was amazing, so I wanted my own copy, even though I didn't even know the name of the docu for such a long time. Anyway, this has basically all the important names from ND's past that were alive at the time of the docu's filming talking about the history of Notre Dame Football. A must-watch even if you are a casual sports fan.

Notre Dame used to be one of the top ranked teams in the country basically every year. They are still competitive but nowhere near the powerhouse they once were. I think 1988 was their last national championship

Im 55 and lived through alot of the great history... Lou left when he was no longer afforded the ability to field a championship team!. I love the history and memories, it can happen again but not with any current administration

Parseghian was undoubtedly a fine coach. His big mistake was in his rout of USC in 1966, 51-0. In running up the score on the Trojans, Parseghian started John McKay's "Revenge Tour" against the Irish. Not losing to them for another seven years. Most in lopsided fashion!! Scores like 46-23 and 55-24 were the norm against the Irish. Weak schedules, a lack of speed and a more integrated lineup defined his tenure. Parseghian was good. Several coaches outranked him.

There is no way in hell you can tell me that these players are in it for a degree and have the smarts to even be in college. Would love to see their ACT and SAT scores if they even have any. And their high school transcripts. ND standards aren’t that high. I mean come on. Just study and learn. Nick Saban and most of the AD’s in the college football era don’t give a flying fuck about academics. They’ll pull anyone out of the hood to play. And it isn’t because of the talent alone. These coaches are thinking about the $$$$ and Nick is going to go down as the greatest college coach ever. Such bs. College has been just as bad as the NFL
