It's actually so wonderful that he's picked up laughter to mimic. It shows that there must be a lot of laughter in your house for him to see it as a common call :)
Mine also makes fart sounds, and then laughs and says "you did it!". I'm pretty proud of that. This eclectus gave me lots of ideas of what to train my ekkie to say haha.
@@urma8720 My female eclectus has a far larger cage than my male and she uses almost none of it. The females aren't typically as physically active as the males as they usually stay in the nest in the wild, so the cage I have for my male would more than work for you. His is 36"W x 24"D x 65"H, I bought him a stainless steel cage (he chews everything) from Birdcages4less, it's called the Heliconia Hideaway cage. Ideally you'd want some kind of aviary where they can actually fly around inside, but if you don't have a space large enough for one, then this size cage has plenty of room for toys and playing.
It is wonderful, they are so rewarding! My boy is almost 2 yo and he is super lovable, he likes all the family, he doesn't shriek for no reason. I would highly recommend this breed.
Awwwwww, an obsessed bird girl says that this is cute!! My lil boy Echo does the same, but he can be camera shy, as soon as I take my phone out he shuts up!!😄
Thanks nikkotheone, yes, he is very smart! Milo turned three in December and he started talking when he was about one year old. He started with "Hi" and then quickly picked up other words. When he was a baby we would sing to him, (and still do) this is why I believe he likes to sing. Good luck with your eclectus. Just keep talking to him and before you know it he will be talking back to you.
That's so awesome! They had one of these birds at the exotic bird rescue I've started volunteering for that looked just like yours. They're pretty birds! I had no idea they could talk so well.
that's so adorable, we have 13 year old S. Island Ekkie too named Oliver who has the EXACT same laugh! [Who is pacing back and forth on my chest, giving me a kiss on the cheek then a kiss on the other cheek, and since he's not receiving one back i get a "BANG BANG BANG" with his beak on my chest from him.-This cycle has been repeating itself every 30seconds or so for the past 5minutes hahaha]
That was my favorite song my befriend used to sing it to me when he was alive God works in mysterious ways I loved it n that laugh u c the lv from u I bet ur children r jelious lol oh I hope to hear more I never knew a good boy could sing so BEAUTIfull thanks for sharing u made my life better kat
Anyone who lives with one of these beautiful birds and gives it the care it deserves will tell you there's a lot more to it than what this video shows. Obviously a lot of work is spent caring for Milo. No bird is guaranteed to talk, but if you bring a bird into your home, just like when you bring a child into your home, he is yours. If u want a guaranteed talker, invest in a quality robotic.
He has such a cute voice! I have a 1-1/2 year old male eclectus. He talks a lot. We are trying to teach him to sing You are My sunshine too! I love how he sits on the counter so nice!
I have this bird, his name is Yoshi and he talks and says "tickle tickle tickle" And he says "yummy Apple" and if he smells something hey says "eewwww" "stinky" and "take a shower" and he says many more stuff.
Awwwww, Cute! He must be very clever! Lol he is dead still at the beggining of the vid he has a beautiful high pitched voice that is a lovley bird you have!
Very cute.... I just adopted a male eclectus who turned 8 years old. He doesn't talk but my African Grey has been showing off. Between that and cute online videos like this, perhaps he will be more motivated to talk it up. :)
Our grandparents have 12 parrots in a cage in their backyard and one baby electus parrot that was from the wild and his name is Nicko and he is very friendly so we thought that if he heard this he would learn how to speak but because he is a baby he hasnt learnt how to speak… yet
