I am very interested in these speakers. Ive come full circle to realize that design is crucial to imaging. I used to think electrostats were the be all end all. But now I'm back dynamics after realizing the shortfalls of dipoles. I think these speakers will do alot to remove room interactions while at the same time increasing phase coherence. I like single point drivers alot!
j I only listened to 3 songs that all were chosen because they sounded great and showed certain aspects of the speakers strengths. They were songs I didn't know but no no real weaknesses of note from this demo
very very impressive. They should scale up the concept using a bigger coaxial ... and i would prefer two bass boxes instead of one but this is me. I cannot get the soundstage but i am sure it must be excellent.
gino the mic was attached to the camera which as you can see is a few feet behind the sweet spot where I am sitting. The recording gives an idea of the sonic nature of the system I feel having been there. Trying to record a soundstage that good would be difficult though but I would try hard :)
Hi thank you very much for your kind reply. Soundstage is by far the most fascinating feature of a playback system for me. The feeling to be transported in the place where the musical event took place ... wonderful !Anyway Always marvelous sounds in your videos. Kind regards, gino
Hi thanks ! very impressive. I would try a set up with one bass box per side and firing directly towards the listening spot. But it is just me. I am sure the sound was very convincing.
I remember hearing about these a few years ago and getting super excited about the potential but thought they had dropped off the map. Great to see this thorough demo.
experiment54 you obviously don’t know much about HIFI eclipse speakers are highly acclaimed and respected ...and all their speakers are designed like this
