I also use menstrual cup and saving multiple sanitary pads every month

*With so many benefits I seriously wonder why are all ladies not using it yet! 🤔 also protecting nature is more of a requirement and not an option for all of us...*

I have been a cup user since the last 4-5 years. It’s the most amazing change I have brought in my life. Has made my life so much easier. Periods are not a burden anymore. 1) no leakage. Not even once. 2) super comfortable. I can’t feel it. 3) super economical (can’t believe I haven’t bought a pad in the last 5 years). I had spent rs. 750 on the cup when I bought it. 4) super private experience. I haven’t had to worry about where to throw pads when travelling to other peoples houses and generally during travelling. No asking anyone. 5) no rashes since nothing is in your underwear. 6) no smell. Since blood doesn’t come in contact with the air and therefore doesn’t oxidise. 7) no restriction with what to wear since nothing is sitting between your legs outside of the body. You can wear anything you want. 8) can indulge in swimming and water sports etc. since nothing is sitting between your legs outside your body that could get wet. 9) depending on your flow, you have to empty it out only twice to thrice a day. For average flow, I deal with it once during shower and once before sleeping. You don’t have to look at anything or deal with anything everytime you visit the toilet for normal business. Nothing is sitting in your undergarment. It’s all inside you. 10) and of course. Great for the environment!! Added bonus: makes you more acquainted to your body and it’s capabilities. Forces you to handle your own blood and forces you to see how normal it is. It only looks gross when it solidifies and stinks in a sanitary pad. Cup takes away the stigma and disgust we all treat our own bodily function with. You fear first that the cup might get lost in the vaginal canal. And then you learn that your anatomy will not allow that to happen. You learn more about your body in the process. The body is amazing. **The only problem I have experienced with the cup is that because it’s so comfortable and because i don’t see it everytime i visit the toilet, I tend to forget that i am on my periods, and that i have to empty the cup. Many of my friends who use it have a similar experience. 😅 Note: I am lucky that the cup worked for me. Everybody’s body and anatomy is different. Some people may try it and still not like it for various reasons. Some people may leak because the cup was not a good fit. Some people may find it uncomfortable for the same reason etc. some people may not have the same privacy that I have in changing it, washing it, sanitising it etc. However, if it works for you, it is such a boon that it is worth a try with an open mind.

I started using menstrual cup from this month only....and it's great🔥🔥 and I have satisfaction of preventing so much plastic to go into landfills from now on😌😌

Menstrual cups are made up of silicon and silicon being chemically stable has no side effects on the body that's why silicon is widely used in surgical implants , while choosing menstrual cups go for transparent cups don't use coloured cups as the chemical used as a colouring agent might not be 100% safe for the body

This needs to be understood and taken very seriously. Not all women will encourage using the menstrual cup because of certain presumptions. This will also make them aware of all the menstrual problems a women can possibly have sometimes unknowingly and that how important it is for all of us to take care of our health for a healthy menstruation cycle which can also help in reducing waste since not everyone uses equal amount of pads. Some use very less and some use many packets in a day depending upon their health condition.

After first use itself, for me to go back to sanitary napkins is a nightmare. Menstrual cups are a boon to womankind, and the added benefit of eco-friendliness just makes me happier. I have absolutely forgotten the inconveniences of too much cleaning and rashes associated with periods that was common earlier because of pads. Please try the cup at least once, ladies.

I started using menstrual cup 3 years ago❤️ though it was new at that time and didn’t have much idea regarding it and was very challenging for me, yett i didnt giveup and continued it only due to my love for nature💚 the moment it got available in my country online and knew it was eco friendly . Many of my frens and relatives use mentrual cup today only due to my influence and also bcoz i gifted from my savings to many😇, trust me switching to menstrual cup will neva be a regret to u , u ll rather love it after being used to it😄

I being a Rotarian from Guntur has seen a article in rotary news only in Chennai 81 tons of sanitary napkins waste comes every year . You can imagine how much waste comes over all india .it is the time to switch over to mensural cup. I changed to menstrual cup in 2020. And I'm amazed! Now I really don't want to use sanitary napkin, except for some rare circumstances.

I think this is not a topic where we should look for “alternatives”. I mean,yeah menstrual cups are echo friendly but this is a situation where your comfort should be your top priority. I’m not saying menstrual cups are bad but I don’t think you should switch to them Just because they are eco friendly. If you do feel comfortable with them then go ahead but if you do feel more comfortable with pads you still have no reason to feel guilty because you are using pads as they are only helping you keep your body healthy and your lifestyle healthy. Plus many women are uncomfortable with inserting. Again…no hate just sharing my opinion. Edit- many of y’all are writing that I should give it a try or that it’s uncomfortable at first and you’ll get used to it after a while. I want y’all to know that I’m not talking about that. I’m just trying to say that IF you still don’t feel comfortable with them or just feel more comfortable and assured with pads,then we should not feel bad for “not helping the environment” because this is a sensitive time frame where us women are extremely vulnerable so it’s okay to be a little selfish and think about your comfort first.

I am also using from 10 month.... and seriously the results are superb, even you don’t stop yourself to convince your friends and others to use them... all the problems which had by using pads are gone with these cups...
