Before 1957, all stores in India were Zero wastage stores...It was possible then... Expecting Whole India to adopt and encourage these activities..

I dream to open one in my city, also where people can bring their own containers if they want and pay according to how much they buy.

Till 15-20yrs back we used to have paper packing groceries, barely few plastic bottles and plastic packing. I used to give list and cloth bag, they tie all lentils in newspapers and tie a rope . Slowly each of those shops shifted to plastic bags 😔

I really enjoyed visiting this store and it felt good to go back with no bags, BUT I wish everything was not so expensive in it!

I want this store in my town ,not only me every one in India has to adopt themselves in eco friendly especially plastic free living. This type of store must come in each town.

Just going back to local kirana stores would also do it. There is no need to package every concept like Americans do. Just take your old jars to kirana stores and use "boris" for grains and what not. Zero waste is what India was, go back to basics. The more I read and experience zero waste with shiny marketing here in USA, the more I remember how my Nani used to live ....

I think so we can even use earthen pots and Clay utensil for packaging instead of glass as it is too a waste as once broken then take years to get decompose as it is also non biodegradable product .

I became very excited when I saw a small refill station in one of the pharmacy’s here in the Philippines. They only have dishwashing soap, dog shampoo and Car washing soap but I think it’s a great start. It helps me stay positive and driven to continue in my quest to help Mother Earth when I see other like individuals doing such great things.

Plz make a video on 718,00 new ponds and lakes making in 718 districts of India by MNREGA and ministry of jal shakti to Revive ponds and recharge ground water. Our Raja Maharajas were doing the same. Look into the history every Mandir has a pond attached to it. Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh,telangana,Odisha and west bengal are the states with maximum number of Ponds.u

Sorry to say but the main issue is that it's unaffordable for 95 percent of Indian population so merely educating children won't work but some productive collaboration to reduce price range. That's what need to be targeted. Happy Selling!!

I liked the video as even I also avoid much use of plastic n prefer good food. Only thing I didn't like the dancing guy.... He was talking less b was looking like dancing more

First of all Glass is as waste as Plastic infact it is more harmful than Plastic beacuse once it is broken and thrown into Garbage it hurts animals and recycling broken glass is much expensive. Also this too is non biodegradable. They should refill customer's container instead. Otherwise concept is very good.

Most of these places the products cost more then the normal market value..... For a moderate to poor person (which is most of the population in india) the nutritional value doesn't matter.... Only cost matters.... If these kind of concept become cheaper then it will be practical and the rest of the mass will also folllow...

This video looks more like a NAAPTOL Sale's Project

Glass creates more carbon footprint in its production and once broken takes more than a decade to degrade naturally. Also, the production of glass uses fine sand which is already scarce. When you travel you cannot carry glass shampoo bottles or bodywash or facewash. Also, paper which is eco-friendly comes with a huge cost of deforestation. And this eco-stuff isn't affordable to a lower income group who are major consumers of such items. Not all plastic is bad we need to understand this. Because remember the syringe and the saline bottles in hospitals saves your life. Look at both the sides of a coin and then decide.
