At the end of the day you could tell they weren't there for the money. They wanted Theos logistical connections and they got it. Granted they gave away too high a percentage for £37.5k but sometimes you gotta make those sacrifices to open up the sales. Not what you know but who you know.
The amount of knowledge in negotiations that has helped me in life, most recently seeing a deal worth 50,000 in total and 38,000 to me walk away with 46,749 For reasons I won't disclose but never use the words yes or no, ever and never go in at your lowest or over the odds
This could be good investment and a cheap option for the council as a temporary accommodation for the homeless and also for outdoor camping in a country side without forgetting the gypsy community
You can buy an opod tube house designed by an architect. I can’t find their design online only the tube house. The deal didn’t go through but, apparently gave them excellent marketing.
£100,000 for a shed, sure it costs less than a house... but you will ofcourse need to own a house with a garden to put this in... and in which case... why not just live in the house....
The smallest was £7000 that would be put in a garden. The £100,000 version would be for people with a large estate in the countryside that want a summer house at the bottom of the garden. Most people these days buy them to escape to the garden while their little brats are taking over the house.
Yes Emma was well cute :) They closed less than a year later, did they get the investment or didn't their figures add up? A bit of searching found that Emma went off and started her own Eco house business, hope she succeeds.
What's much more environmentally friendly that a fishing hut, with solar panels and insulation is....not having one at all....where do you think all those materials and chemicals come from?
I know the #TinyHome generation is booming right now ( and those millionaires cant see that but this is just a one-room shed in a garden, which means you already have a house, or ground to build it. But I still wonder how they progressed...........
Asked for £75k for a 15% share in the business valuing the business at £500K, takes £37.5k for 40% - dropping the value of the business from £500K to £90K... oh and gets a £37.5K interest free PERSONAL loan... I wonder when it hit them? During the handshake? In the elevator? As they left the studio?
conwayd 007 When you put it like that it does put into perspective how shit some of these entrepreneurs are. They’d be better off opening a takeaway or a petrol station. Many of them spend their entire life earnings developing over-engineered Poundland tat.
only a well established restaurant would earn that, and that doesn't even account for the expense of food and the supplies; and after that you have to pay the salaries of several waiters and chefs, in the end you'll find a restaurant doesn't make that much money unless it scales up and becomes a chain. The difference between a restaurant and the people who go on this show is that they make these sales with extremely limited resources, staff and no marketing whatsoever which is bloody impressive, I think you are seriously overlooking how difficult it is to start a business
conwayd 007 where did you go to business school? Does the restaurant get there ingredients for free, do they pay rent,, do they pay waiting staff and gas and electricity bills, then the consumables?????
I mean , u don t need an architecture degree to understand that a round shape for a house makes u loose sooo much space and specially in a tiny house where every inches of space count ......... ......
At 75k for 15% they are pricing a share (1%) at £5000 Theo offers £1667 a share, the Irishman talks down to £1250 a share after promising to pay back half the investment. No wonder Theo leapt from his chair to touch hands!
"I don't see a home I see a beehive"... That's an insult to bees :) Kudos to those who have the courage and bollocks to think (and live) outside the box! *Interesting fact - rectangular buildings are more prone to earthquakes while dome shaped structures are more resistant to earthquakes.Don't believe me - watch the shake table test: Earthquake testing on dome structure* ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YCnn_TezISY.html
