EcoFlo Delta Pro Off Grid Tiny Home. The EcoFlow Delta Pro and the two extra batteries have total of 10,800 watts hours or 10.8 kilowatt hours. This is plenty of power to run a small house. I have 1500 watt, solar array. I only get about 1100 watts on a good day. I can run my Air Conditioner and refrigerator during the day with only the solar power that's coming in. This allows me to run the Air conditioner at night and still have over 50% battery left. So I could run my Air conditioner and refrigerator for two nights before needing to charge the batteries again.

For those watching, Ecoflow is pretty explicit stating not to stack them in this fashion so proceed with caution. Great video though. Good job!

I made that mistake, but luckily I figured out why pretty fast. The top of the units get piping hot when stacked.

Good info👍 I just purchased the EcoFlow Delta pro unit for both back up and energy saving purposes for my house. I like your setup but will install a transfer switch instead of a (widowmaker cord/suicide cord)so that my wife won’t get hurt if she needs to switch over power.👍
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
That sounds like a great Idea. I’m completely off grid here.

Excelllent. I am wanting to get the Ecoflow Delta Pro and the Smart generator to add to my 1200w solar panels and run my little window A/C during the daytime. Plus I'll have back up power for emergencies.
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors 2 года назад
The EcoFlo Delta Pro and the Smart Generator is a good combination. Is your AC 500 watts and what eles will you be powering? The Smart generator is the most efficient generator in the market today. I say go for it. Please share when you get it.

@@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors It's a Media 10k btu window A/C unit pulls less than 700w and has a smart start inverter. I figure my solar will be enough to power it through the Delta pro during the hot part of the day. The Smart Gen. will be for power outage/bad weather situations.

Wow 10,800 kilowatt hours! That’s a lot of! Are you sure it’s not 10,800 watt hours… which would be about 10 kilowatt total? I would think about getting rid of the widow maker plugs being used. Nice setup and should be well able to extend your off gridding experience!

The Midea U shaped air conditioner is almost twice as efficient and will probably add 3-4 more hours of run time to your setup.
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
Yes I agree. I have looked in to it and it would run the AC twice as long. The problem I have is that I would have to remove it every time I would want to leave the property and lock up the container. The two big metal doors. I will replace it in the future if I get another container. Thank you for watching the channel

I don’t think I would stack the system that way,
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
I stack it this way do to lack of space. I do have it secure on top with 2x4 going around it. As far as heat, I don’t have a problem with them. Thank you for watching the channel

@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors 2 года назад
Thank you Kevin for the info. The only reason why I still haven’t got one is cause I close the big container doors when it’s not in use. If I was to install a window unit I would have to take off every time I’m not using the off grid tiny home. The doors simply wouldn’t close otherwise. I should have thought of that when it was built. It would be to much of a hassle now. I do appreciate your comment maybe in the future.

This may be a silly question but can the solar power appliances without draining the battery? Like if the solar panels are producing say 2000 watts and you are only using 1000, would it only make use of the panels and not use the batteries? I know traditional systems do this, but I don’t know if this only draws from the battery and allows it to be topped off. Would love to get this unit and make the batteries last as long as possible.
@1ENDUSER
@1ENDUSER 2 года назад
Yes pretty much like a DIY system just smaller foot print or medium range. If your producing more than your taking out of it, yes you'll basically be running off the sun if by solar or if plugged into an ac outlet or even ev station.
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors 2 года назад
Yes if the EcoFlo Delta Pro is at 100% charged and you are producing 2000 watts from solar Panels and your appliances are pulling say 1000 watts, The EcoFlo Delta Pro will stay fully charged till your wattage draw goes higher then your solar input. It will only start using your battery when your solar power isn’t producing more watts then what is being used by your appliance. Also keep in mind when on and 100% charged it’s loosing a little power. This is nothing to worry about it’s just how it works…. Uses power when in use. The shelf life of the battery is great! I had mine fully charged and and put alway for a month, when I turned it on it was still at 100% At night, all electricity is coming from my EcoFlo Delta Pro and two extra batteries due to no sun at night. In the morning When the sun comes out I don’t use much wats just the light and refrigerator about 5o watts. So most of the solar power is being used to charge back the batteries to 100% and very little for appliances. It’s always a good Idea to have a larger solar array then what you use due to cloudy days but not to much to where the electricity isn’t being used, wasted. I tried to be very detailed about your question. I hope this helps? Thank you
@ishan21
@ishan21 2 года назад
You need more solar because the ac uses more than it comes in.
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors 2 года назад
Insan21 Yes, more solar Panels would be better. I do have a 1500 watt solar array. I usually get around 1100 watts on a good day. This is particularly cause the solar panels were purchased used and they are located in a wooded area. I will consider adding more in the future. Thank you

The way you stacked them. That's an accident waiting to happen
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
It’s a very small space. I don’t have the luxury of putting them side by side. I wish I did. Maybe in the future. They are secure with a 2x4 around them on top. I have tried to make them fall just to be safe and it was impossible do to their weight. Thank you for watching the channel

the fans sounded loud - how does it compare to the ac or fridge = does it still make a noise after dark?
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
The fans are loud when it has a load. You can barely hear it if loads are low. I would say its louder then a refrigerator. Also keep in mind you are hearing the portable AC run next to it. It sounds louder on camera due to small space. I don’t have any complaints so far. Thank you for watching the channel

@jakeliujakeliu 2 года назад
Which one you recommended? Ecoflow delta pro or all in one system 48v system. And which one is louder?
@journeyintonaturetheoutdoors
Jake, EcoFlo Delta Pro, it’s very user friendly, plug and play. The down side is the cost and it's a little more noisier. It also gets louder as more energy is flowing through it. The all in one system is less expensive but requires a little more knowledge when setting up. It’s just comes down to your preference. Please let me know what system you end up going with? Thank you for watching the channel

Hello sir, I paid $6,157 for the EcoFlow Delta Pro and the 2 extra batteries. The total of 10,800 kilo watt hours. This means you can run a 1000 watt Air Conditioning for 10.8 hours. The Air Conditioner won’t pull 1000 watts consecutive for the 10.8 hours so you will be able to run it longer. I bought it at a discounted price due to me being part of KickStarter. A crowd funding project. I waited about 5 months to finally get them. It was well the wait. You can also get your self a 500 watt Air Conditioner and it will run twice as long. Please let me know if this helped?

@@1ENDUSER the all In One Solar inverter LV2424 was $650 $150 for breakers and wires $0.00 for batteries and wire… they were given to me. If I had to buy now I would go with lithium batteries. They are better, cheaper and last longer. The ones I have are lead and you can only deplete to 50%. You can only use half of power you have stored if not you will damage them. Not to mention maintenance. You can go to www.signaturesolar.com they have good deals on EG4 LifePower lithium 24V 200AH for $1499 With my system I should able to plug in my EcoFlo Delta Pro to the output of the all In One solar Inverter, leaving the solar array hooked up to the all In One solar inverter. This way the EcoFlo Delta Pro will pull power from from it. You just need to change setting on the All In One Solar inverter let it know when to stop sending power. In my case not letting the batteries deplete no more then 50%..

I have a Bluetti. I also bought back up solar panels. I did so for a large brick and mortar. It cost roughly $10K. I'm not sure it's better....it will maybe run the fridge and a collection of smaller items with less pull. I doubt it would hold the entire home lights; not to mention AC or heat. Long lasting? Quality product? Sure. Worth it for a tiny home? I'm not convinced.
