I just pulled the trigger on one YESTERDAY! it was $4799 LIMITED TIME DEAL. I cancelled the order when I saw this. It wasn't supposed to ship until July 31st so you'd like to think they can cancel the order.... fingers crossed.
If someone thinks it’s a good idea to buy a delta 2 with expansion battery, please reconsider your choice. The spare battery is almost the same price as a second delta 2, if you buy 2 units, (delta 2s) the price isn’t much more and you will have several advantages. The units can be charged at the same time, if you get the expansion battery your wall charge time will double as the extra battery cannot be charged without being attached to the delta 2. Also you get 2 solar inputs. Move one into the sun with solar panels, and still be able to use the other one. Also if anything ever goes wrong and fails, either solar input, inverter problem, or dc output problem, you can still use one unit while the other gets repaired. I think if you’re going to buy the expansion battery, you would be better served by getting 2 units.
Good advice, BUT -can you connect them together? thereby increasing your overall capacity and run time of an air conditioner, WITHOUT having to switch units when one runs down? IN other words can they be paired and function as one unit with a higher capacity? Im trying to decide
@@neelimabaird3159 these really aren’t suited for running an ac. If your ac is low power 600-800 watts, you will only get an hour and a bit of run time, with the delta 2 and expansion battery maybe 2 1/2 hours. Then you will need 2 hours of charging from the wall. With a 2 unit system you have options, run the ac with 1 unit, when it dies in 1.2 hours plug into the other unit, then you could take the dead one over to power and charge it in 50 min while the second one is running the ac, in this scenario you could run the ac continuously in theory. If you don’t want to change plugs you could plug one delta 2 into the charge of the other delta 2, however you would suffer an inverter loss on the second unit. There is a setup that I use in my camper, I have a delta 2 that charges off a battery bank. My battery bank of cheaper basic lifepo4 batteries is 5 kWh, the large bank is connected to 2 charging sources and the delta 2 is charging via the dc port. The dc port doesn’t charge fast but is efficient, if I need to draw down the delta faster than I can charge it through dc, I turn on an inverter (attached to the big bank) and charge it faster. Edit: I’m might be wrong, you may have no real efficiency loss when plugging one to the other. If the first delta is receiving power from the second, the first one won’t use its battery until the second one is empty, so any loss wouldn’t be noticeable. If you use the second unit to recharge the first unit when it’s dead, then you would suffer more of a loss.
@@SB-xu8pi Hey, thanks for the reply and your thoughts. Hmm, all interesting. Im trying to decide for my RV too, but it'll be stationary for while I build my small home. My Bluetti AC180 will run my little A/C for 2 hours on its own, as the A/C only pulls 450-500 watts. But I don't plan to use ithe AC180 for my A/C, rather for incidentals in RV- electric kettle, phone/computer charging, blender, toaster, etc, Fortunately, I can use propane for heating, fridge, oven etc. Anyway, I am totally off grid, so I plan to apply at least 800-1200 watts of rigid panels, to hopefully offset the draw of the A/C ( and fans) and charge the power station at the same time. Really it's just for HOT days or when I leave my animals there alone. BUT I'm thinking that amount of solar could get messy or complicated/picky for delta 2 or 2 max. I like your idea of using a 5kWh battery bank to charge up the delta- smart. I guess I could do that configuration to get the capacity of the delta or delta max PLUS the 5kWh of the bank. Would have to figure out how to wire and connect that. Which brings me to my other thought- besides a plug n play solar generator -Will Prouse made a DIY "portable" on a hand truck that used a server rack battery and EG4 3kwh all in one inverter. That intrigued me because of the higher capacity of 5kwh PLUS way more solar input capacity. PLUS, I could use the system late in my barn or house and be able to expand it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PjdB5m38MTs.html&lc=UgzxmhyiTAKZJ0uY5bR4AaABAg Okay, getting off track, I wonder if you might share your delta to 5kwh battery configuration? And boy it would be nice to just have a 30 amp plug to plug the RV into directly. So much to figure out! Thanks again for your input
The original Delta Pros are absolute BEASTS. I have 2 sets of them and I have no plans on upgrading to the new Delta Pro 3 because the original Delta Pros are extremely durable and reliable. I run them everyday and I've never had a problem with them. A quick tip for resetting the LFP state of charge is to charge them to 100%, unplug the unit from the wall and solar charging cable, press and hold the power button and keep it pressed for 10 seconds after the unit turns off. Turn the unit back on for the real charge level.
Code worked for me!!! Thank you so much. Saved me $120 with your code! Got the delta 2 w/ 220w solar for $800 then $120 additional off thanks to your code. What a deal!! This is my first battery and solar panel so very excited to get this. Thanks again!! Still can’t get over the fact that you saved me that much. Truly grateful and subscribed as I’m starting to get into this
The delta max and the delta 2 max, as well as both types of extra batteries are compatible with each other even though they have different chemistries. The electronics match them up just fine. They match up with each other after 1 charge cycle. For example if you have the delta max at 80% and attach the delta 2 max extra battery at 50%, the power will all come from the max until the extra battery reaches 50%, then it will load them both simultaneously. Same goes for charging. It will charge the lowest one until they match state of charge, then it splits the charge rate between them based on capacity. Pretty cool system. Not sure why they don't advertise it as working that way. Basically what I have found is all the products that have the EcoFlow proprietary XT connector will work fine with each other.
You can’t connect the Delta Max to the Delta 2 Max (or vise versa) as a spare battery; that’s really what’s he’s talking about. I have both units and confirm the incompatibility.
Thank you for the code! Helpful hint to a few, after putting in the code click the right arrow to the right of the code and not the continue button to get the code to be applied.
@@VP-pw4vz so when you click add promo code, it takes you to a new screen, scroll down and type in his code in all caps, then click on the arrow to the right, NOT the continue button. It should add it at that point. Hopefully that helps.
Own a Delta 2, wish I would have bought the Delta 2 MAX, it is the equivalent of owning one expansion battery for a Delta 2, and it has two ecoflow proprietary ports on the side. So you could run the AC and have expansion batteries.
@@NAN-kn5wl it is proprietary, port and cable they other ecoflow expansion batteries can connect to and the wave 2 AC unit. And the ecoflow generator, an ecoflow alternator charger uses that port. So by having only one of those. You can only have an expansion, battery or a optional additional product plugged into the Delta 2. Where the Delta II Max has two of those ports.
Haven’t watched your vids in a while but got this notification and watched. I am definitely in the market for another Ecoflow and appreciate the info and discount codes! 😁
I keep getting 'promotional code has expired' when I put in the code. Can you share what code you used just in case I'm putting in the wrong one! Thanks!

Thank you for this review and the promo code that you offered ended up taking the Delta 2 and the bifacial solar down to 732 which was absolutely amazing price and great for my first purchase of a power station. Thank you again.
Picked up a Delta 2 for $499, wish I would have seen your video first with the coupon code. Runs the Philips freezer/fridge for 32 hours without solar. Really nice.
@@Mrcharlie509 I like it, the insulation is great. On a hot day with an internal car temperature of 115° and direct sunlight on half of the cooler the freezer maintained 9˚. You're right, the similarity is so close it appears the same manufacturer makes both the Wolfbox and Philips. The Wolfbox has a split lid for fridge/freezer and Bluetooth functionality while the Philips only has an ambidextrous top.
Bought the Delta 2 this afternoon and used the Amazon $200 gift card offer by applying for their Visa card so I went from $464 to $264 plus tax for the Delta 2.

@@DonnaA962 I used this code: 24EFPDHOBO . But it could be that the number of codes was limited, or the promo expired, idk. It's not working for me anymore either. I would buy smth else if it was.
Looks like I could've saved a bit by waiting... I bought my EcoFlow Delta Pro with two bifacial solar panels for $2640 a couple months ago. Still not a bad deal, especially with the 30% tax credit
Thanks for the code I’ve been wanting to pick up an EcoFlow for a while. But at that price I couldn’t delay any longer. I got it yesterday and the power went out that day. Talk about destiny.
Thank you for the great, concise description of the different units. I didn’t get to use your code but was able to get 12 months financing @0% interest on my Amazon CC. I hope you catch you next time! Appreciate it!
Great review Hobo! The Best as always and especially with all the discounts is a very big help. EcoFlow products I have work great still since my very first Delta 1300.
I've had the original River Pro for a couple of years and it works well. I don't really use it a lot but it's nice having it. Slowly want to build up capacity without breaking the bank. I saw the deal for the Delta 2 with 220W solar panel and was on the fence at $799/$759, but I just put in the code on Amazon and the out the door price ended up being only $683 today. Pulled the trigger on the Delta 2 with solar panel deal.
If you're doing any kind of permanent install, you really shouldn't use Ecoflow or similar portable power station. You're paying A LOT for that portability. Especially if you get into the larger sizes. The newer all in one inverter systems are like legos to wire up, and lifepo cells are soooo cheap now.
I’m in Houston we have no power. I have a Jackery and the river 2. I need more power. No real ETA or when power will be restored. I wish shipping could be rushed.
Thanks for the reviews and discount codes, I just ordered a River pro 500 and a Delta 2 with the 220 watt panel for my first venture into power stations. Mainly for camping and to backup my gas generator for home use.
I'm a little leary of "solar generators". A friend gave me one rated 280 watts with a matching 40 watt solar panel. On a very bright sunny Florida day, I tested the charging ability. I was shocked, it only charged 8 watts an hour vs 40 watts plugged into a wall outlet. It would of taken days to charge it by a solar panel. I know same size Jackery has the same problem. KNOW before you buy how long it will take to charge it with solar panels!!! Luv the channel
Also your code doesn't work for Amazon Canada 😢. If ecoflow update it for Amazon Canada them I'm going to choose it over the bluetti !!! Right now 464 US = 635$ Canadian SOLD!! But unfortunately the price on sale on Amazon is 749$ can add 15% taxe and your at 861$ 😩 it sucks to be Canadian sometimes especially for deal on stuff. 😒 Thx and keep up the good work.🤙
Oddly enough I applied the code to a Delta2 this morning but had to get confirm on which card to use and Amazon page refreshed when I went to complete the purchase and now the code won't work.
the amount of energy i used wont change any time soon, i just bough the old ecoflow delta pro and it works perfect for all the need i have plus more, safe the money instead of getting the new ecoflow delta pro 3. I'll put that extra $1k towards my next ecoflow delta pro that i will definitely buy for a total of $2K of saving.
The wave 2 couldn't keep my white car below 90f on an 80f day even on max mode with the dual hose setup and shades on all the windows. It only managed a 20f temp delta between the input and output. Pre-cooling the car with it's own AC didn't help either. Very disappointed.
Just checked on Amazon, “Item can not be shipped to your location” I live in PR, wanted it for my folks (They live in an apartment where gas generators and solar panels are not allowed)😢

Philippine's power will not work with North American model! Be careful! Check your country to see if it's compatible with your Ecoflow first! There are different flavours of 240V. The Philippine's has mostly 220V, 50Hz and North American 240V, 60 Hz, and maybe neutral wire differences. Check to see if Ecoflow makes a model for your country's power system. In North America, we have 240V on three wires, popularly called "Split Phase" 60Hz (albeit technically incorrect; it's actually "Single Phase, Split-Phase"). In the UK, they mostly have 230V on two wires, called "Single Phase", with the Neutral handled differently, and it's 50 Hz. Residential Philippine's is 220V "Single Phase" with confusingly some city 120V and commercial Split-Phase, similar in some aspects to North America, but your frequency is 50HZ. Your solar panel would work, but your Ecoflow wall charging plug would only work if you plug it into a frequency and voltage convertor first, to reduce the Philippines wall receptacle giving 220V 50Hz to match the North American model Ecoflow plug which is expecting 120V 60Hz. Also, you'd need another frequency and voltage convertor for your 220V 50Hz Filipino (Filipina?) appliance plugged into the 240V Ecoflow receptacle. This is time-consuming and technical to describe. Better call Ecoflow.

Thank you very much I plan on building my solar project this year I want the ecoflow propane gas generator ,ecoflow smart generator 4000 any review on that coming soon?
Small problem on the Ecoflos, the 12VDC charging port is capped at 10 Amps. So if you want to use a 12VDC source, like a vehicle alternator or battery bank, you can only recharge at a 10A rate, requiring some 10 hours for a complete recharge. Considering how quickly you can recharge from an 120VAC source, that's totally unreasinable. Especially since a second Ecoflow battery (but oddly NOT another Ecoflow unit) can recharge it so much faster, using their proprietary cable.
Also, Li Time batteries are a great price. $239. 12V 100AH, I am buying one for a total of 4 of these. I was going to build a 24v system, but for these prices I may now do a 48V system for easier solar charging. I an building a camper, I don't need a 48v system, but I may now make it a camper and a mobile power station. 😂
Thumbs UP! Subscriber here - I just used your code and combined with the Eco Flow sale price, I got a great price on the D2 Max and Alt 800 charger bundle - THANK YOU!

Thanks for the code Hobotech. Have watched your videos for years and really appreciate all you do to educate us. Your code saved me $200. Ordered a Delta 2 with 220w panels and a second D2 unit.
I have a single wide mobile and run it on 2 DPUs, 4 batteries and the EF Smart Panel. Still grid tied, but I charge on my ridiculously huge panel array. I have two 2 phase loads. The water heater that barely kicks on because the incoming supply is solar heated and an electric stove. I found a 110 window unit that includes a DRY function and inverter compressor. I'm looking to doing a dedicated system for my well. Maybe an EG4?

Was hoping this vid would come and here it is. Perhaps the DC alternator charger will be a flash deal. Or maybe a steeper discount on some solar panels outside of the bundle. My Delta 2 Max, when not helping me live in my tent for a month/year, enables my kitchen to work with the building’s original wiring. With all the different electronic gadgets many of us use, I’d be replacing fuses daily. With my D2M (AC recharging overnight), I have much more flexibility in my kitchen for day to day stuff. Indispensable.
I do wish you, and other evaluators, would give the max watt overage at the same time as you give the watts - you know, handling the spike that happens when turning items on? (Like, 1000w/ 2400 spike -- whatever it is called) Thaanks.
