All I see are problems with the Ecoflow Blade. Even though Luba 5000 has its issues, I believe the Luba once they get the issues fixed is the one to get.
We think the Blade can definitely succeed given the right conditions. As mentioned in the video, it performed very well in my yard. I am currently using it and very much enjoying it. -M
I have one. It works well on hard ground. Does NOT work on my Florida, Saint Augustine Grass with deep thatch. It gets stuck all the time. Wheels just spin. I have been trying to return it for 2 weeks. EcoFlow is VERY slow to respond. I send them email every couple days. Hope they get back to me sometime soon. Just be aware that you may have issues with support. Note: I have purchased a replacement from Autmow of South Florida. Went with a Husqvarna 550H EPOS.
It was pretty bad for me too and kept getting stuck and lacking app features, so I returned it. There is chat support in the app. I contacted them through the app to setup the return for mine and it seemed quick.

Got one on my bermuda right now. I only have 2 days with it now so not sure yet on it. Was really pumped to get it but so far not LOVING it. Time will tell.
Have you done any testing with the Stihl iMow? I have had 1 at my property for 6 years and it has done great. The cons are that the install does require a boundary cable, no camera or lidar , and mine does not have any app controls as it was a first-generation version in the US. The Pros for my lawn is the fixed blade. The fixed blade has had 0 issues with pinecone, gumballs, magnolia leaves and seed pods, black walnuts and small sticks that drop in my lawn. It has also been able to tackle really tall grass if I do happen to shut it down to set up a slip and slide for a few days. Half my lawn is zoysia and the other areas are clover and creeping Charlie. Would like to see what you guys have to say as you have tested so many different brands.
We saw it having some issues with very thick, taller grass, yes. On the flipside, I currently have it running in my yard with thinner grass and it is performing very well. -M
If your lawn is rough or uneven and not perfect the ecoflow has so much trouble navigating thru. I probably had over a 100 errors and stucks. Got the luba and man that thing is a tank, the AWD is definitely the way to go it hasn’t gotten stuck once it is a beast a really set ir and forget it. I think that if they add motors to the front wheels of the ecoflow it will fix a lot of problems and also the software needs a lot more features when mapping. Also the camera on the ecoflow would detect a blade if grass as an obstacle and go around it, same with the fences you cant make the border too close to the fence. The luba is very precise next to the fence border and navigates easily

You have to wonder what engineer signed off on charging contacts UNDER the mower - where debris and grass kick up continually? Or the toed-in front wheels that work like arrow barbs when (not if) it slides over a curb, or landscape edging, and NEVER be able to back off and recover itself? Or TWO zones with homes that will have at least a front and back yard, ensuring that's all it will mow and nothing else? Did any of these people ever look at other automowers? Or go outside and actually look at a yard? Confused....
This video review is a LOT less harsh on the Blade than all the others I've watched. You guys sound to lean towards saying that one must have the perfect conditions for the Blade to work. Well, that's a tough one for many folks.
For the huge amount of money they want for a robotic mower, I expect it to work for me and me not work for it. I don't expect to have to "work around" the limitations of the mower or have to trick it or change my desired mowing pattern because the design is flawed. Not when I pay thousands of dollars. No thanks. The odd front wheels are a common solution for mobile enthusiast robots, but they all navigate hard surfaces. This is a major flaw for grass. The goal is to not tip the grass over. The goal is to keep the grass standing up so that it can be cut. Those front wheels are like a steamroller. If we want people to transition from gas to battery, the battery solution has to perform BETTER than gas. Robotic is cool but if it can't match the quality of the gas-powered human mow, it will fail in the long term.
I havent seen a single video where people complain the grass is being steamrolled. They do complain about it getting stuck. But… that has nothing to do with gas vs battery. There have been robot mowers for over a decade now, they do great work. Without making noise for the entire neighbourhood.
Appreciate the comment. Robotic mowers might not be for everyone. We love them and are passionate about what they can do and how well they perform. We were very pleased with the cut quality from the Blade and thought that it was comparable to other mowers on the market. -M
i was looking at these! id like to see Alexa functionality, a 4 inch cut, and possibly a spring adjust for the rear swivel, that might inhibit some of the twist it gets when turning in ruts,(lol i know, im dreaming) i am in the market, and initially i was looking HARD at the ECOFLOW, id heard/seen there were connectivity issues, maybe it needs an optional bracket to install the RTK higher up on a gutter or ridge or something, anyway i really would like to see the ECOFLOW improved and in my yard from hell, its not huge (0.3), but it has some small ruts some flat, some low pitch some high pitch and pitch from hell, some mid area obstacles, a shed with property behind it and an area beside my house that is fairly narrow. both of which may be difficult to signal. its a tough find for me, id hate to think i might be better with a wire. so far im also looking at the LUBA, the HUSQ 435x and the Ambrogio 4.0
The reason the deck is getting turned over in thick, high grass is because you're expecting too much out of the mower. It's meant to maintain already mowed lawns, not brush hog. It's dumb to think it can mow anything above 3 inches, it's 3 razor blades on a spinning disk. Just because others have had varying success with it doesn't mean it's reliable. Might as well see if it can tow your car or pull one of you big boys on a skateboard. 🤣
First of all, I'm 100% here for the skateboard experiment. Second, as noted in the video, when we put the Blade on much thinner and lower cut grass it had zero issues with maneuverability. We try to give feedback from multiple scenarios as to best inform the viewers. -M
That's great, but I didn't hear it mentioned that just simply mowing the grass to a height in which the Blade is meant for resolves the issue of the deck being turned over. In the video you can see the grass is higher than the deck is set for. If it's some form of a torture test, preface the video clip or something otherwise it looks like a design/software flaw when it's a user error.
