Thank you guys for your tests ! Will you test Mammotion Yuka (with sweeping system) and Dreame A1 (LIDAR system) ? a lot of excitation in Europe around these 2 also, that you didn't test yet. RG from France ;)

Segway? Can I stand on it and travel around town? Lol. Why is it such a challenge for robotic mowers to offer variable height cut EXACTLY the same as gasoline mowers? Not rocket science. But yet some seem to be very restricted or even offer multiple models to address different height ranges. Seems like a very poor design. Being aware of the number of available satellites and timing mow based on that would be a great feature for all of these mowers. Another smart feature would be to mow steep inclines at an angle, thus reducing the incline. A quality gyroscope and local storage of map would certainly help it run without GPS signal.

It works well when U take it out of the box after hours of mapping. Then a month later: the issue is Mammotion has no AI to deal with the variations in the SAT/LEO orbit congestion and firmware (becaue of SOC incorporation) updates are almost weekly as this product is not capable of positioning to the ever changing stratospheric environment and this reviewer is only reviewing the mechanics and simple electronics of the machine. Luba has no tech or customer support and I think even Amazon has dumped them as they are a over-hyped firm with now mower heritage. Avoid Mammotion like a skunk on your lawn as it is problematic and U spend more time troubleshooting this inferior positioning deice then mowing. Their RTK system is no up to the job and creeper U need 28 Sats to communicate with the RTK and Robot. A scam product, do not spend your hard-earned money on a product with no integrity or customer service which this reviewer dismisses as he knows they are not bona-fida. Forget the warranty as it is not supported once they have your money.

OK so you guys sell these and they go up a hill (as in their adds) - so what ! - I have a Luba2 - on my iOS app the user interface is really bad - there is nothing in the manuals that tell you how to use it, chat support line was fairly useless (I used my wait times to randomly touch icons and slowly figured out how to adjust settings) so it's like running MS-DOS which you guys look too young to remember. My local Autmow rep wanted me to buy a Kress at $17,000 for 4 acres (that's not happening) which includes $1,700 for REQUIRED installation - when I asked about the LUBA he said "good luck" - end of conversation. So now after abut 6 weeks I have it mowing fairly well but the the IR sesnor on the back gets dirty (of course - it's a mower) so it won't align with the charging station and charge, so I have to go wipe it clean and all is good until it gets dirty again. As SeanChYT notes below - this is like an add for their climbing abilities which few people likely need. IF the others have equally bad user interfaces for their apps - it would be great if y'all would cover that or I would suggest don't buy unless you have the time and ability to decipher the app.

I have purchased a Luba 5000 AWD and can honestly say it is absolute junk. It works for a few months and then the latest revs confuse it as it cannot intelligently decipher new satellite information and goes onto a positioning mode and does not leave the charging station after multiple hours of set-up. Luba has no telephone support (UNBELIEVABLE), and their chat line is on hold for 4 hours as this inferior product has so many dissatisfied customers with inoperable units. The chat service is the worst in the robotic business and they have no engineering capabilities. I got better service from 99% of my smart homme devices then this over-hyped neophyte company with no history or pedigree in the mower business. I am an engineer and can do many fixes but after 10 screenshots and 5 app feedbacks ..nada/ziltch from Mammotion. Hey forget about the BS of 2 year warranty as you will probably never get a RMA from them as they are truly a a non-starter for claiming to be a bona-fida mower firm. You will have a boat anchor in a short time. Believe me I learned the hard way, avoid Luba like a plague.

Not to mention the awful customer service based out of China that takes days to respond if any and forget about returns and warranties. Even cancelling order takes several days if not over a week and they will charge close to 3 percent just to even cancel the order! Even US retailer like Walmart has return condition for Luba that says it can only be returned as long box is not opened and have to be in a new condition. Buyer beware!!!

Unfortunately WD40 does not help much with this issue, as the alluminum may have oxidized. *Note*: The following are just tips based on our experience, but before trying any of the below suggestions, please contact Mammotion for their authorized suggestions as it may affect your warranty status. Suggested options include Bicarbonate of soda, lemon/salt mixture, vinegar/salt mixture or other product designed to clean oxidized aluminum.

Awesome thank you! There are so many robotic mowers on the market right now and several more coming in the next year. It will be interesting to watch and see which companies survive and which fizzle away. As consumers, we benefit from the competition. While I have my eye on the Yarbo because of the interchangeable heads (snowblower), the price point may be it's ultimate doom. We shall see. While I prefer premium products and don't mind paying more, most people like to buy cheap stuff and then complain and toss their technology in a pile. Honest reviews and comparisons will help guide us all to make the best purchase for our home or job site.

The Mammotion Luba seriously sucks!!!! It is Chinese so..... I probably wouldn't have purchased it if I knew it was Chinese. I have always had bad experiences with Chinese Products. They never perform as stated by the company. They seem to always be about image but have no substance. I purchased one of these a year ago and it was difficult to set up but I eventually got it. There were many issues with this thing but I managed to work around them. Tech support was almost non existent. The only place to get support is chatting through their app and that is buggy and constantly loses connection. You have to wait for a tech to answer because they are constantly "experiencing a high volume of inquiries" and you have to wait in a queue that tells you your position in that queue. The queue can magically grow and your position moves backwards (like from 2 to 14). Once you get the chat with a tech, you can magically get disconnected when the suggested fixes don't fix anything and the problem proves the be more difficult than a restart. I figured maybe it was just new stuff and should get better with time and updates. Yeah right!! This was the situation when I purchased the unit a year ago. Now with all their upgrades it actually seems to have gotten worse. Now their GPS location system seems to vary by more than a foot and as much as two feet. In places where I had spotty location info a year ago now have no location fix at all. And yet they still have 22 to 27 co view of the satellites. The RTX is viewing the entire sky and sees 39-40 satellites. So if they can't get by with 50% or more co viewed satellites, the tech must be flawed. And don't get me started on the app. You have to use the phone app to do everything with this robot. The app started out clunky and just got retarded with each update. Side Note: This thing keeps an open connection to a Chinese server. A high security risk to have with a country that has vowed to hack the USA. This is a great idea but the execution is abysmal. It isn't getting better either; it just keeps getting worse. I don't know how to express my dissatisfaction with this product any better without starting to use bad language. So I'll stop here. Bottom line: If you want more headaches in your life, switch from manual mowing to this piece of crap robot!!!!

None of these RU-vid robot lawnmower tests show us how well these units work multiple seasons in a row. Like... How water-tight will the Luba be after 4 years? Will the device even be supported by the manufacturer as they release new products (or go bankrupt). As grass clogs in the Sunseeker Orion X7 mower deck, will the gravity-based floating mower deck still move at all after x years, and if it doesn't what can I do to fix it? These mowers are all quite expensive, so a home owner will rely on it working for at least 5-10 years, but none of the reviews can tell me how well that is going to work. I understand why it is the way it is, but it means most buyers don't really know what they are buying, as they only have seen the setup part and how well the mower is working the first few weeks when brand new.
@GrealdClaybrook
@GrealdClaybrook Месяц назад
As far as grass getting clogged now that I have seen a video on it I plan to use my leaf blower every week or so to blow out the underside vs dismantling. You are right no one knows how well these mowers will hold up over time, but no one has a time machine and if you want to wait 4 -5 years that is your choice. Everything is new once. I personally like the grand experience. Sunseeker has a 2 year warranty and it seems dealers are being added constantly so I am confident if something breaks and I can not fix it myself there will be a place to send it.

@AutmowRoboticMowing Месяц назад
Sorry to hear you are having issues, but this is a fairly common problem with all RTK mowers. Those tree canopies can throw quite the wrench into the operation depending on the time of year. The first you might consider is to adjust the operating schedule and see if you find better performance. Since the constellations are on the move, there are certain times of day (or night) where the connection may be stronger due to co-viewing more satellites. A step further might be to make that a separate zone that you can manage more granularly and not impact the areas of the lawn that are not experiencing issues. A third and final suggestion, without knowing the extent of the issue, it could be an opportunity to landscape around that area and remove the need for mowing with mulch + flowers or maybe a fire pit area (if you don't already have one) or a natural habitat zone. I hope the schedule adjustment is enough to resolve the issue. If not, do reach out to your local dealer and discuss other potential solutions. Thank you for the comment.
