Yep still use my Delta Pro units in 2024 I did buy the ultra setup also and I will say that the ultra is a much more seamless operation than the Delta Pro but it still has its place and certainly it's portability for such a massive unit. I actually use my Delta Pros to backup my ultra for extra capacity on those cloudy days, especially multiple cloudy days in a row

I just got the 2 delta pros just now cause you can’t buy the ultra yet and I have to have it now. I think you got yours to promo the product before release. One big consideration for me is I have a house in a flood zone so even though I’ve spent a lot of $ to ensure my basement stays dry normally, I might not be able to prevent it from flooding always. So with that in mind since my batteries go down there, I don’t know if I can go with an ultra configuration since I have to solo carry these units up and down stairs and the ultra gets too big and heavy and cumbersome for a single person to do that on stairs without the risk of dropping it

I currently have the old “delta original” model, giving my freezer and fridge about 10 hrs of back up before the added solar panels kick in at 3x160 watt. I’m transitioning to coastal Florida, and although the property is elevated and wind protected , I expect potentially DAYS of lost power ( mostly concerned about fridge and freezer loss). Although the “Ultra” looks great, I’m anticipating due to the weight and the price, it’s not going to be a workable alternative to using 2 PRO models with a “240 bridge” and smart panel attached to the home power panel. I’m also concerned that with the investment already made in solar panels, etc., that little to none of the ULTRA batteries/ solar panels/ house connections will be BACKWARDS compatible…so I would have to essentially TRASH my prior ECOFLOW equipment.

I love the NEW ULTRA, but if you are using ONE of the units to run your house and the CPU or battery (if you are ONLY using ONE Battery) goes OUT...then you have NO BACKUP. ***I would have to buy two of the ULTRAS to make sure I have backup to my backup...ALL in one units scare me. ***Or I could keep ALL of the other EcoFlow Units and use them with the ULTRA...I would love that. BUT need the $$$. 2 Pros connected together (1350 Solar Watts Each, 95% of the time they charge up all the way by 6pm) - Running most of the house, but not all. 1 Pro Unit (1350 Solar Watts, 99.89% of the time it fully charges by 6pm) - Running Window AC and HDTV and an LED Light at night (AC = 350 to 400 Watts HR, HDTV 120 Watts Hr) 2 Delta Max 2 (2 Solar Inputs in EACH Unit, Each 450Watts X 2 = 900 units per unit, 1800 Total Solar Watts - ALWAYS fully charged by 6pm) - Run the Refrigerator, Micro Wave, Toaster and small single pan cooker (2nd unit running AC/Lights in our Bedroom) Total Battery Wattage = 14,896 Watts (2 Main connected together, 1 Pro and 2 Delta Max 2 PROs) Pros 1. Distribute Battery through out the house, so main batteries can get FULLY Changed everyday -If I had 2 Extra Backup Batteries on Each MAIN Unit, I do not think they would charge up on the way...even more so on Cloudy days -I can have MORE Solar, not limited to the 1600 Solar Watts on Each of the Main Units 2700 Solar Watts vs 5,859 Solar Watts (MORE than DOUBLE the Solar INPUT Wattage, MORE Watts on Cloudy days) 2. I have a Back up "Delta Pro Alpha" in case one goes bad...I can replace and get the other one fixed 3. IF at night, I need a bit more Watts...I can connect the DC OUT on the 2 Delta Max 2 Units to the "2 Main Delta Pro Alpha UNITS"...so they will "Think" they are getting 128 SOLAR Watts INPUT from 7pm until sunrise, about 12hrs. -Each until will receive 128Watts an hr TIMES 12 Hrs = 1,536 Watts TIMES 2 Units = 3072 Watts INPUT overnight!!!

I think that ecoflow Delta pro would work with an ecoflow Delta pro ultra system I just need new double voltage hub that I saw in ecoflow RU-vid video so hypothetically, with the 50 amp service port, I should put in two ecoflow delta Pro inverters into one double voltage, hub and plug into the one side of the 50 amp service, and lol Get another 2 ecoflow delta pro inverter into The new double voltage hub then plugged Into Another side of the 50 amp Service. I think that could work. But what are you guys think?

Quick question since you have both pro and ultra. I found out with the dual voltage hub for 2 pro units that they wouldnt charge when in that mode. For the ultra can you have it plugged into a 120v outlet but still get 240v output from the 30a 240v plug?

Yes 240v output is built in, you can charger solar, 120v a etc and use the 240v

Thank you, that was my biggest drawback about the duel voltage hub on the 2 pro units. I want to trickle charge both units all day but also use them (240v) at the same time. This way they are basically in line power for an automatic UPS or surge power capability.

looks like EcoFlow copied the Point Zero Titan (stackable) setup. Although the Titan's batteries are 2,000 or 2,500w per battery, vs 6,000 for EcoFlow. I prefer the lighter weight 2,000/2,500w stackable batteries (they can easily be carried individually). 6,000w for Ultra must be extremely heavy and difficult to carry?

With the early bird coupon, the Ultra + inverter will cost $4,599. There is another bundle on the website as well that has a price of $5,XXX that includes the new smart home panel. I would like to know how much the ultra batteries will cost without the inverter though... I think the base unit plus at least one extra battery will be good for basic home backup

You have to add the unit that you want to your card keep in mind the supplies to most units especially the individual Delta Pro Ultra with the battery I just edit myself. After you add it to your card scroll all the way down and enter my code and $1,000 will come off

How much solar would each of these take to be fully charged all the time (except at night of course)? I live in FL, with good to average sunlight. I want to use this is as a UPS most of the time but also a transfer switch home power backup too. Do you know the formula I would need to ensure it can stay charged under lets say half load? Trying to figure out what kind of portable solar panals I'd need to get with this. I'm a complete newbie with all this.

For that, just got a good surge protector. But I would check pricing on delta pro if you want to save , still very solid. The ultra is definitely more expandable but much heavier and not as portable. Don’t get me wrong the Delta pro. you’re talking around 100 pounds.

I bought a Delta Pros several months ago. It ran good as advertised for few months then suddenly quit take charge from any input: Ac from wall plug, solar 145v or 12v DC. I called tech support and followed their instructions how to reset and set up but still blinking 0000. Please help as this $3000.00 device is like block of concrete to remind me that I am a fool because I bought it. 😥😠

Say for a 12 room airbnb unit carrying TVs in all rooms and then 1 common room for washer dryer? Just relying on ecoflow + solar panel power, can this math's work out? Would 90,000kwh power it? Which of them both would be best? Kindly share your thoughts.

Hi Anthony, in general with solar as long as you get good sun, depending on where you’re located, but I would tell you to make sure that you start putting some numbers together. Wattage for the washer , dryer, also is the dryer electric 240v ? Once you have your numbers, you can really start to think about if it’ll work for you .

@TechMadeEzy yes. Looking to sort of run an ecofriendly airbnb without grid connectivity or minimal if need be. Reliant on ecoflow DPU or DP. I'll reconfirm the wattage for washer dryer combo. Yes, there is usually enough sun in the area but I also reckon that grid could also serve to charge during periods of less sun transmission

I think the Ultra is the way to go it’s also more expandable and it handles more solar.

They have their temperature limits but they aren’t made to be used outside, at that point use a gas generator

Will it allow AC Coupling or AC support? So, you are still using the grid and supplementing through a solar connected to the Ultra?

I see a lot lately on all these various types of battery backup. My question is I see comments on other channels that these battery backup are a danger of catching fire. And they say store outside of the home. So do you have any info on this or maybe to a video on proper storage and or any real dangers with this items.

@@TechMadeEzy I understand but I'm asking about the batteries themselves like said I see a lot of chatter online that all of these battery backups no matter who makes them they are saying they are unsafe and can cause fires. Due to the lithium batteries. I don't know if that is true or not. And of course no manufacturer will tell you they are unsafe if in fact they were. I know you test these things just wondering what your thoughts on this subject are.

I can tell you, I have my set now for easily two years with no issues and plenty of lithium battery experience over the last couple of years. you also need to know if you’re buying from a reputable brand and EcoFlow is very well known especially in this category. I’m sure there’s stuff out there from companies that don’t do much research and development and that’s where you have to be careful .

Hi John, are you asking if the ac outlets turn on automatically after the ultra gets charged back up? Just making sure, if that’s the case I’d have to say I have not checked for that and or tested it yet.

Wait... at 3:30 you say the Ultra battery is 6000wH? I thought I read the Ultra with one battery begins at 7200wH. Which is correct? What am I getting wrong? From their info page: "7.2kW-21.6kW, 120V & 240V Output, One unit, all appliances covered. One inverter has an exceptional 7200W output"

And if I have the Ultra in a country where the grid is 240, you said there is a 240 port on the side that can go to a smart panel. Would that act as a UPS ? @@unaffiliated_x9279 If you want to use this for backup with solar and plugging into 120v at home 24/7, once the battery is charged, the solar switches off and all power comes from the wall outlet. Even if you have a ton of sun, it uses grid power “passing through” the device like an expensive electric cord. Doesn’t use battery or solar if plugged into grid and battery full. I would prefer to use solar first, then grid. Bluetti and others allow the way I want but Bluetti customer service sucks. I couldn’t get a response as a new customer from them… not going to try as a former customer.
