Man, incredibly helpful! I just bought a 97 E350 7.3L powerstroke! I NEEDS this new front end. I'm also thinking about grill guard, intercooler and custom bumper.
The blinkers were able to plug directly together except the clips broke off that hold them because that tabs on the recovering side are in different spots. But I haven’t had any issues with the since.
nice job. I need to do this in the near future. make sure u upgrade that transmission cooler. the one you have there is small. you need to get a 6.0 cooler.
Two of the bolts spin with the nuts on my front bumper, I can’t hold the bolt from the back because they’re built into the bumper. How should I go about getting these out?
I was going to buy the valance and do the conversion later but Man dude the aesthetic would add to my work confidence. What is the latest year I can convert to? I belive it all starts with the core support. Thanks in advance bro
Hey, great video and pretty helpful! I am planning to do this on mine too here in germany - do you have the wiring conversion for the headlights? I have a donor front end with the oem plugs and want to swap it over to my 1993 E350. would be really helpful to have instructions there!
You're a boss dude. How funny though. I always wondered if this was possible for my 01 E150. I always noticed that the fenders looked kindda the same when I park by the new Van's. I am encouraged to do this as well man ! Need that wiring video though. I'm sure it's simple, but I'm not good with electric stuff.
Hello, Chase! At the 2:04 point of your video there is the black/bakelite backing that is fastened to the front from one side to the other. It goes the width of the front, and the headlight brackets are recessed into them. What is that part called? I tried to buy it at Certifit, but she didn't have the part #. Should I just go to a Pull-A-Part location and see if I can find a 2002 E-150 and take it off of a junked van? Thanks for any help! Dan
@@danielhowiesr.2593 I was just going through some comments. Don’t know if I answered you elsewhere. Here is the part number 8a284 also it can be found in my parts list somewhere in the comments. Sorry for the delay.
I’m not 100% that would work. But I know you’ll have to change the actual radiator support. Which then makes it more difficult due to the fact you may need to disconnect many components that are connected to it.
The headlight adapter u mentioned in the comments wont work as it goes from the origional headlight harness to a sealed light, the headlights im trying to use have 3 turn to lock connectors with replacable bulbs that u push into the connectors
Then maybe you don’t need the pig tail adapter. Worst case someone probably makes one for your scenario. Just google “x bulb” Male to H13 9008 Female Socket Converter Cable Pigtail Harness Adapter
I think I used the new hinges. But if I’m you can use old one I would do that. I would try to fit the new hood first so that the fender gaps would be easy to figure out.
I got mine from CL in AZ 😬. They can be found every once in awhile for anywhere between $1800-$2000. A local scrapyard may have them and they are more affordable. The problem is trying to get it before anyone else.
I have a 1994E 350 Econoline van and I just bought a 2010 front end how much work is it gonna be to put that 2010 on my 1994 would it work I appreciate the help
From my understanding it should be pretty straight forward. I would start with trying to line the hood up with the original fenders if possible. It may make lining everything thing up easier.
Isn’t the white metal holding the radiator across the front the core support? Welded to the vehicle. The headlight header panel is the black part you’re calling the core support. It holds the headlights and the grill.
Sorry for the delay. It’s called the header panel if you look up the part number in the list I created. I’ll have to edit that list too. But the part number remains the same.
I'm about done with my shuttle bus front end swap, can you post pics of what your hood latch bracket looks like, I can't figue it out for the life of me.
@@thedirtvan thanks it looks like all of my local welding places have closed, do you think a riv nut with new bolts and spacers will be strong enough to hold? Or wait until someone can weld it up when things open back up.
Faithful Adventure-you can find front ends for about $1500 and up. Then the “specialty tools” on amazon for $50-$75. Someone to make the bracket for the hood latch could be any price. I don’t know how much someone would charge to have one made.
its got the plastic headlights, but im trying to go to the big headlights, sort of like the ones you use but they have the big clear lense on the front that use sockets like it this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e-I0hek9awo.html ( nstead of the glass headlights that are all one piece with the terminals sticking out of the back of the bulb), there doesn't seem physically enough bulb plugs on my 2003 ford e350 to accomplish this tho and the adapter u mentioned I'm pretty sure is only for the glass headlight with the 3 terminals sticking out of the back. also were the fenders a direct bolt on, because the bottom of my fender where it bolts on the body it sticks out and isnt flush with the door. @@thedirtvan
@@danachristie3862 somewhere in my comments I have a link to what I used. Please go through them and you’ll find the answer. I think I have answered it quite a few times.
@@danachristie3862 the video you linked is the same front end I started with as well. I only needed one adapt for each side. Michigan Motorsports H4 Male to H13 9008 Female Socket Converter Cable Pigtail Harness Adapter. My high beams and low beams work. You should be fine.
It’s not a work van, and is used for camping. The window behind the driver is where my galley kitchen will be so if I end up cooking inside I can open that window. The one on the passenger side is for…we’ll just a window to have when someone is riding as a passenger. Look up a Sportsmobile E series. I measured and copied the window placement based on the Eb50 floor plan. Not quiet a wasted bossy of a van in my book. 😉
I'm trying to figure out why go through so much effort for a van like this? I have a 05 e250 for my work vehicle, it seems fine.. I suppose it does look nice & newer though.
