I cannot express enough how grateful I am for your appreciation and patronage of this channel, my training style, and my kennel. Always remember, it’s a great day for a puppy-sized adventure!
I would love to see more about this build. I’ve dreamed about doing one myself. It’s hard to find a regular rv for a family of 5 let alone a 4wd. That thing is uuuge. 😄
I have it back for the time being as my son is going to be IBOLC for the next little bit. I’ll try to post some videos. Do you want to know anything in particular?
My husband graduated from West Point and retired after 20 years of service. As you know, your son is getting a fabulous education. He will need an officer’s pay for the gas😀. There’s so much to be proud of with his hard work at school. Kids grow up too fast…our baby is 29. Savor the time you have left with George and Charlotte at home.
Hey Stonnie, this wasn't about a van it was all about your love for that boy. I am 54 and a father of two boys. Both still at home but it won't be not before they fly the nest. So I get where you are emotionally. We love them, we do our best for them, we give them all we can. The rest is up to them. Good luck in the big world Nicolas. Oh and I also have the worst behaved red fox lab in Western Europe. If I lived in the US she would be sent over to see you ;-)
Just watching some videos that I didn't watch at the time. And I got to say, this truck is AWESOME. Also I love how proud you are. That's why it's so important for people to make things on their own, instead of always having others do it for them. You'll end up with something that you can be proud of.
Great build. Your comment about buying the aftermarket towing mirrors vs the OEM ones hit home for me. Just got the aftermarket ones on my truck last week and I’m not happy with the glass distortion and the shakes on the highway. The Ford ones were double but I should’ve done it in retrospect. Gotta know where to spend and where to save. Still learning that one. Would love to see a video on your old Bronco as well.
The fact that you found a 2010 with only 33k miles on it is nothing short of a miracle, let alone rust-free. Great job, Uncle Stonnie! And God Bless your son.
I am 60 and I installed a new alternator and belt, blower motor and resistor pack, radiator, air blend door (the hellhounds from hell come to torment me!), a new clockspring mechanism, a new airbag, removed the middle seats (best move I ever made), a tachometer, door/mirror control on driver's side, main light switch, front fog lights and relay, front brakes and bearings and rotors, and other stuff I've forgotten, in the last three or so years. It gives your body a beating but it's exhilarating at the same time. And the buck-olas I saved in labor? It is in the many many thousands. I did have a transmission shop service the transmission before a cross country trip in July and it got me thru it with flying colors! I have a '97 E150. The s**t's too cheap and easy to not work on it . Great build Stonnie!!!
@@johnspencer3994 John I actually have a HAM LIC, unfortunately its a UK license. I now live in the US and live in a sub division that wont allow antenna. If I moved to I would deffo get a US licence.
Not o my does my husband work for BGAD we are dog trainers! We are in the midst of building our kennel in Mount Vernon, hope we are fortunate enough to meet you someday.
I own a 2001 E150 Conversion Van with 198,433 miles. As of this morning no oil or trans leaks on the driveway. My only complaint, I'm a senior, and time has caught up with me. I need the latest tech safety features to keep me on the road. I need a conversion van company that could pimp-out my ride with after-market safety features.
Somwtimes leases make the most sense for people in similar situations to myself.I went through a divorce and the passing of my father within 1 month of each other. I was still in medical school and financially strapped to say the least . I needed a vehicle that was reliable and I had only a few grand to my name at the time. I eventually wound up in a lease and I don't regret it the least bit. It was a nice having a new car smell and a car that I knew would be reliable for the next 3 years. Maintenance and repairs covered. At the time Hyundai was offering 0 down deals with a decent credit score on a Elantra. I paid the other fees which came out to to 1k and I paid 265 a month. I never wound up keeping the vehicle for 36 months. The chip shortage gave me the advantage of being able to get more than what the vehicle was worth and I sold it back to Hyundai and made 3k 1 year later and 8k miles! Took that 3k and got into a 2021 4runner TRD off premium. I felt like I finally something post divorce and loosing my dad. I know it doest make sense. But to me I felt like I lost so much it was good having caught a break and gotten into a vehicle I can keep long term even post least.
Stonnie, I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago and have been thoroughly impressed with your no-nonsense approach to training. This video grabbed my attention after you announced the topic. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane, as I enjoyed a similar experience with my two USMA sons (2016) and (2020). Well done West Point Dad!
I’m not selling the van to anyone, I’m showing people who like 4x4 van conversions what they can expect if they spend the time and money to do things right.
Stonnie, you should know better than to even ASK. Consider every one of those boxes checked on our wanting to see videos for each facet of the build. Good/practical application for fabricating that storage system. Versatility and sturdiness is king. You son has every reason to be proud of owning/driving that rig, almost as much as you can be proud of your son who is driving that rig. Godspeed young man, thank you for your service. Come home safe to hug your mama and your dad.
Congratulations on your sons achievement!! I wish him great success and pray G-d will keep him safe while defending our country. I can't believe u were in NY so close to me and I couldn't meet u😣 U need to make a u-turn and come on back!! I'm a trainer here in NYC area and I really enjoy your channel for the last 2 yrs now. Please let me know when u come back
@@StonnieDennis my wife might fight me for which of us gets to go! PS - it’s unanimous: the people need a “The Story of Uncle Stonnie” video. You’ve done some pretty interesting stuff and I bet we don’t know 10% of it!
Knew the value of a dollar from jump street as he’s been working at the kennel since he was ok’d enough to hold a leash. I’m still waiting on your name…
