The shock could come on July 11. The country could change forever in an instance on that day (depending on Judge Merchan's intentions). That doesn't seem like an economic prediction, but the economy and political situation are inextricably tied together.

@@fillmorehillmore8239 "Affect" is probably a more appropriate word than "change", but yeah. Everything happening in the economy stems from politics (in terms of the Trump-era we're in). Trump, for example, isn't going to replace the Federal Reserve (with a currency issued by the U.S. government) for purely-economic reasons. It's much bigger than that... bigger, as in... this is WWIII.

So what else is new ! I'm here to tell you that It doesn't pay to warn people. They lable you as a nut case, then tell all your, and their friends about it, that end up treating you like a crazy person standing on a fruit box in the middle of the square screaming the sky is falling ! It's best all around to keep your trap shut and let the dice fall where they will. At best you learn who your friends actually are to you and who actually are NOT really your friends after all. This prior knowledge in the long run, especially in crisis, will at least protect you from trying to depend on them for anything necessary in the future to your well-being ! Good luck all around.

protecting yourself and loved ones, is now everybody's priority, let the family members "go" who scoffed at you about preparing .Let them become aware 2 seconds before the bus hit's them , there is nothing you can do or say, if they ignored you this long . just know you will be OK. and perhaps you can still help those that are in a DIRE situation, later on ,but don,t support on a level where they will bring YOU down. My own sister , laughed when i told her i,m buying silver as a backup for the fiat collapse, said silver isn,t worth anything... SO i changed the subject to keep the peace. and keep walking my road.

My family thinks I’m nuts but I persevere. At least my wife gives me the room I need and at the very least if something happens to me she’ll be protected.

My wife cringed for years whenever I stocked up on canned goods, freeze-dried food, cases of water, water filtration, silver, first aid supplies. Once I brought in 2 50 lb bags of BBQ briquettes to keep in the garage just in case. She poo pooed those bags for 2 years, and finally gave them to the fire dept for their 4th of July Burger bash. Then, last year AFTER prices had gone up 50%, she showed up with 2 briquettes bags she bought "for our emergency supplies" and guess what: they're only 25 lb now! She's in stage 5, after watching ME do all the prepping for over a decade

The individuals that still have the luxury of being in denial are the one that still have a few dollars to rub together. Layoffs, crime and inflation hasn’t required them to suffer... Yet. But it’s coming and the days are limited in their ability to keep their heads in the sand. And many of them are my family. Most of them are from the baby boomers generation
