Dear @niceguy, all they are saying is that a student with a bachelors in tech would be able to pursue higher studies in Economics because the required mathematical and analytical skills are there. No need to be senti. Chill.

@@reetuparnavishwanath4453 Dear @Reetuparna, I wish you were discerning enough to gauge the difference between what they are saying in this video and what is actually happening in reality. I will not necessarily stop someone from saying if engineering graduates can study economics. I will object to someone saying any engineer can be an economists just because he/she knows mathematics. Most mathematics taught at engineering level are majorly theory based. Mathematics taught in economics and engineering is mere quantification of data. One needs to have an orientation of practicality in mathematics and understanding of qualitative subjects such as social sciences which includes public policy, anthropology, sociology etc. while working as an economists. These areas are not explored in engineering. So you need to chill and not get senti. Putting across a point does mean that people are getting senti.

Both are good and provide you great knowledge. But Agriculture will give you more exposure as a career.
