used ECOVACS ozmo 930 because i wanted the moping function. What an amazing smart machine, the navigation. cleaning and mopping worked very well. The noise level was very low, i would say it was almost half as loud as my Neato. The map and its function was very easy to use. BUT it could not navigate over my 1,5 cm doorsteps, so i sadly had to send it back. i have now used 300 dollars more and got a Neato d7 connect,. this works very good, and easily climbs over 2,0 cm doorsteps but it is not better than my Ozmo 930....expensive doorsteps
I love it🌼 I received it yesterday. I used it today, had to do it twice because there was a lot of dog and cat hair. I have a golden retriever dog and a persa cat they both have long hair and it seems that the past few weeks they are loosing it very much, that’s why I decided to buy this Roomba and it worked perfect, I’m thinking that I will use it every day!
Love ours. Take the folding flap off the inside of the collection bin and it will pack dog hair in there better. Also the plastic piece that snaps in under the carriage, if you take wire cutters and cut the thin strips that cross the brush off hardly nothing will tangle on the brush. Great machine for the 300 price range absolutely love it
I have the deebot 900 robo vac. I had a neato before and it worked for about 2 years than. Quit working and when I called the customer support they were absolutely no help at all. So I started looking at new. Robo vacs. First I am a 76 year old person with a small house of 800 sq feet. it does a fantastic job. It out preforms the neato by far! Make sure when you get your new deebot to let it fully charge before trying it out and make sure to have everything picked up in the house the first time so it can make its map of your whole house. It will look lost and turn in circles while it is mapping the first time but let it do its thing. If she gets stuck pause her and restart her do not move her or she will not retain the first mapping and you will have to do it again. But as soon as you get the full mapping done you can then try to hook her up to the app. For me she hooked up very easily to the app and has worked flawlessly since. I have been able to make barriers through the app for places I do not want her to go most of the time so I can run her anytime even on the schedules you can make in the app. I tried several other robo vacs before deciding on the deebot 900 and looked at all options etc. this one had the most options, gets caught up less(due to the barrier feature you can set in the apps) I love my deebot and think you would too. I am going to make a video when I get a few extra minutes. Thank you deebot for a superior product.
i just bought a Neato D3 pro connected for like 40 percent cheaper than this thing. it has the same mapping and no go lines, a huge brush roll and the largest dustbin at 2 cups. it was 289 on amazon and we love it. i’m a single dad who works full time and have my daughter every day. it has been a game changer for us. we bought it based on the vacuum wars review. can’t say enough good things about it. based on my research it’s the best buy for the least amount of money.
Just got this little beauty today, bought it on a Black Friday sale and got a good deal on the machine and an extra set of filters and spinners, etc. All I can say is after charging it and letting it go on its first run is that I am absolutely FLOORED! Pun intended. ;)
Thinking to buy this. And I think this video is the best and most clear one to understand the product! Very detail and answered questions I had in mind
something you didn't mention is the ability to maintain wifi connection, I have a wifi router in the basement and an access point upstairs (3 level home). Laptops, phones, and smart devices have no problem staying connected, but if I place this vacuum on the main level, every week or so, I'll open the app and see that it's offline. If I place it upstairs, directly beneath the access point, then it always shows up online in the app. Otherwise I have to switch off the red power button, take it upstairs, put it under the AP, power it on, wait a few seconds for it to connect, then take it back down to main level to start vacuuming, then it'll be fine until it looses connection again.
We now have had this Deebot 901 for almost 2 years and, while reasonably satisfied in the beginning, we are starting to hate it by now. Main reason: It hasn't had a single software update during the entire time! It will sometimes randomly erase the map because it thinks it is in a new environment (while virtually nothing changed to the room). Moreover, while competitors now support saving multiple maps for multiple floors (even on older models), this one still suffers from the snowflaky single map. Hardware-wise, it will now barely run for 30 minutes on a battery charge at max setting. And even after replacing the entire filter assembly and dust bin and having it on the max setting, it will leave a lot of debries, making my GF very dissatisfied with te result. This is mainly attributable to the fact it 'blows' stuff out of the way by it's air exhaust, prefaribly to a path it already has been. And the worst of all: It is starting to make grinding noises by it's main brush motor assembly. This doesn't go away even after a very thorough cleaning or main brush replacement. So in short: It had some software flaws to begin with, which have never been solved. And hardware-wise, it has deteriorated a lot in barely 2 years.
great review, i'm confused. You said if the robot can't complete the house on the first run @ 110 minutes on low power lets say, you wont be able to setup the zones. But if it has recharge and resume features, it could take 10x recharges and resumes and eventually have the entire house mapped and on your phone. So did you made an error when you were speaking or is there something i'm missing?
I was unclear on this, it sounded like people were having trouble with just that in the reviews, that is to say that it wont work unless it can do it in one charge. but I never actually confirmed that, and the person that mentioned the problem didnt make it clear, so I thought I would play it safe.
In your opinion would a factory refurbished Deebot 900 for $200 be a good buy? I have about 800SQFT of LVP and 3 bedrooms totaling about 800SQFT of med carpet
can u do a tear down of deebot 900/901/907? according to ecovacs, there is no replacement battery for these models and i was curious to see if you're able to find an after market battery to replace. i plan on putting the robot to work which i'm assuming the battery will last 2-3 years. not having a replacement battery is a big turn off for me to buy this model.
@0:55 Though when I enjoy your videos, what you said at :55 can't be totally correct. I'm on my 3 model of Neato and never felt it randomly just went around doing it's duty. Unlike my iRobot Scooba (I will never own a iRobot vac based on how the scooba operates) and though I'm on my 3rd Neato since the 11 model, my D80 has been performing well, just going to retire it to my basement and run once a week on carpet. And from what I've "heard", those devices using cameras do not do well in the dark. Edit: Oh and before I forget, something you never hear from people reviewing these devices is how well it's made. My daughter got one of these "off brand" types for xmas. When I picked it up, it felt cheap. I know it might not seem like a selling point but when you have dropped or kicked your Neato and it comes away fine, one has to wonder if these "cheaper" machines with their thin plastic shells can survive a tumble down the stairs or a drop from hip high. Just a thought.
I had one of these and every few months one of the wheels would stop turning, turns out its a blown motor and you have to replace the whole wheel. The wheels are $70 each so its now in the trash
Why isn't www.ecovacs.com website not working... All these glowing reviews have prompted me to check their website for almost a week and it's been dead. The Wayback machine shows it operating more than a week ago but has nothing since. For a product that requires contact with a corporate server for their app, not having their servers not working is a problem.
Based on my experience with it: NO ! Stay away from it. Hardware-wise, it is deteriorating fast (making 'grinding noises') and becoming less powerful. And firmware-wise, it still is exactly the same as 2 years ago, with it's mapping still being it's biggest problem (while even less expensive competitors already support having multiple maps, etc. )
My 901 won’t map the whole house...Is there a trick to make it finish the entire house? Once it has that, I have a feeling it would work better. I’ve had mine a week and it has yet to map or finish cleaning. I called tech-support number in the Philippines and they are pretty useless. They suggested some basic troubleshooting but I have a feeling the issue is my floor is over 2000 ft.². Am I able to compartmentalize and haven’t learned that way? The issue becomes the vacuum off and die completely before finding the charging dock while mapping. If I try to pick it up or put it close to the dock to assist it it loses the map! How annoying.
I can only think of maybe running it on low power and running it with the suction only attachment? In theory the battery should last longer since the vacuum doesn't need to spin a brush.
They both are laser bots, and Im sure the cleaning, and battery are similar though Im not sure of the exact specs, but the Deebot 901 has WAY more capability with its software and maps.
Hi. Is there any reason why I should buy two of these for the same price as neato d7? I'm just skeptical of the price difference. Sounds like there is zero reason to buy the neato D7 over deebot 901. Would you agree?
Well, I think the Neato has MUCH bigger bin which you will notice, Also the D7 is built like a tank. Not saying the Deebot isnt high quality, but the Neato is premium. It is also more poweful and better at pickup, even on low power
I had a several neato’s to be honest the do have good power BUT. They have the navigation but no sensors on the from bumper. It literally rams objects unless you have the extra care option on. That option isn’t avail in the schedule mode. The Nestor would get in corners and back up scare up my walls with it butt in the air. It always some how drag my table chairs or coffee tables out in the room. The d shape it nice but it gets caught a lot. I honestly can say I have the xiaomi mi robot and I love it. I bout my mom the Roborock s5 and I do have to say it’s way above mine. It has no problems with carpet either. Also if you choose to buy the Roborock. Make sure you buy it from the Roborock amazon store. That way it’s under warranty from the company and it’s come from them directly. My xiaomi is 2 years old. It runs 4 days a week. Never has it not made it back to dock or gotten stuck. I did follow it to make sure cords and such are out of the way. I never worry about it after that.
@@woody629 neato D3 doesn't have home mapping option..it's just bouncing around...this one scan your entire home and go row by row...bought it and love it..:)
@@phongdang1610 I think D3 has mapping too, pretty sure have seen it on this channel. what confuses me is that in two different 2019 comparisons, he said D3 is better in one and said deebot 901 is better in another.
Hey. Are thoses Robots only testones and u need to give them back? Or did u keep them? I feel so bad..i already have 3 Robots and this one looks great aswell. Should i buy another one ? Lol
I keep them, or sell them. THis one is really good. In any case if you dont have a laser navigation bot like this Deebot, or a Xiaomi or Neato you really should try one out!
@@VacuumWars i have an old deebot wich is going in random mod for cleaning the cellar. A LG hombot suqare , a xiaomi mi robot and brand new the 360 s6. I just cant get enough. This is so cool lol. Ur a lucky man 👍
It is hard to figure that out. It seems some listings do not mention the virtual boundaries, so make sure you see that term in the description, other than that I think the main difference between the 900 / 901 is the color.
The software is horrible. We just sent ours back as it can't handle curtains (map gets twisted) and had constant problems. We have 8 meters of curtains hanging and I really don't consider it ok for me to have to raise them each time the robot starts cleaning (every day as we have a dog in the house). It almost never made it back to the charging dock and had to map the floor all over again due to that. Cleaning the container and brush meant that the floor was full of debris again. We previously had Deebot N79S and it did a much better job, was a lot easier to clean.
Could you please redo the roomba review and see if iRobot will send you a different on because I think something is wrong with the one you have. Every time I use mine or when I test t it dose better then what you come up with also I have had every roomba sense the first model and every once in a while there is that one defective one I have sent back a 980 got a new on and it works 10 times better thank you
I see better battery life with mine then you get ( on auto mode ) not sure what you yes yours one but you can’t test power because I don’t have your and you don’t have mine
