Really enjoy the channel. I'm actually a vacuum collector, I have 64 regular vacuums and one robot vacuum. It's an older Neato robot, the XV12. I'm looking to get a few currently available vacuum robots. The ones I'm thinking of getting are this one, assuming the review is good, something in the Roborock S7 Max series, maybe the Samsung Jetbot, and maybe the Roomba S9. It sounds like the Roomba S9 is the most powerful robot available currently, I'm not sure why Irobot didn't come out with a newer model using that platform, instead they used the I series platform for the J7 which has far less power. One thing I like about a lot of these robots is that they talk, since I'm a blind person, I can't read a screen though I can use the apps on a smart phone since all smart phones do have screen readers built in. I can't wait for the full review of the X1 and it would be awesome to see a head to head comparison between this one and the Roborock S7 Max.
Thanks for the video, what if you have a second floor that needs mapping? do you just pick up the robot and bring it upstairs and begin another mapping?
The main thing I have seen with this vacuum that I have also seen with previous other models is the side brushes spin way to fast and sling debris around. I spoke with them about this problem and they said they have no plans at this time to slow down the speed of the side brushes. Besides that this vacuum looks solid.
That’s the issue I have. I have a picky dog that takes out certain pieces of her dog food and leaves them on the floor. I returned my ecovacs t8 because the brushes would just send the pieces flying. My Roborock will clean those pieces easily.
Just finished unboxing mine lol. Hopefully it doesn’t suck thing is freaking huge. I can already see one thing I don’t like is there is no place that I’ve seen where you can store the mopping pads when not in use.
Yea that's wack then, they should have designed it to hold the discs too since they already designed that center thing. I'm thinking I'm gonna hold off and get the MaxV personally.
Just got mine today and unfortunately I hate it. I really wanted to love it but the mops don’t clean my floors very well and it gets stuck going over the threshold between my rooms. Some dried muddy dog prints are my test and they are literally still there after cleaning. Putting something heavy on the back end where the mops are seems to help. The vacuum has a little bit of a high pitch noise too. I waited until the spot dried then sent my Roborock s7 over to mop the same spot and it cleaned everything first try. I suppose I could have a faulty model. Just very disappointing.
The ROBOROCK s7 and s7 MAXV shouldn’t get stuck on transitions because it lifts up the mop pad. VibraRise is more beneficial than you think! Ecovacs’ pads may not come in contact with the ground that much. I’ve seen others complain. Can you test your X1’s Obstacle Avoidance?
Maybe there will be another voice assistant called "Rocky" for Roborock! They can easily update the software to have this because there is an onboard mic on the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. Who knows! I love the S7 MaxV Ultra's dock design, but I wish there was a screen to see the status easily and buttons to send the bot back to the base or start cleaning. When will the full review of the X1 come out?
Maybe it’s called yeko as amazons echo you can use “echo” as a command instead of “Alexa” if your child is named Alexa lol and echo and eco sound similar. Just my opinion and not sure their actual reasons
Ecovac Omni station looks cleaner, but I think I would personally choose the Roborock station since its not as tall or bulky. If the next Omni model station has the water tanks and dustbag stacked by each other like Roborock's and it's just as clean looking, it'd be perfect! Still, very eager to see how the this robot performs.
@@xeon2k8 Nah, I was just pointing out which station looks better and how they could potentially shrink it down in a future redesign. If Ecovac performance wise edges the the S7 Ultra out, that’s the one to go with! I do prefer ECOVACS spinning mops over RoboRock mop pad, so I’m curious to see how they’ll do in Adam’s tests
