Locked ecu from battery being drained happen to me twice while uploading hussain tune. Lukily I was with a guy that knew more than me and he had Hussain cell and we called him. Car was locked up and going nowhere otherwise.
That’s entirely up to ur specific dealer and ur relationship with them. Most dealers don’t care about some simple bolt ons and tune if the warranty work is not engine related, but still recommended to flash back to stock (if ur mods allows) when going to the dealer and remove the EcuTek module.
This is my first car im modding so im new to this but basically these tunes are being created without having to actually go dyno the car correct? And if i did decide to dyno the car can any other tuner flash files onto the ecutek? I live in California so a dyno from you guys isn’t possible unfortunately
Yes! Everything can be done remotely and without a dyno, welcome to the 21st century lol. And once ur tune with us via email is done, no need to flash a different file on to dyno, unless our tuner sees a reason for a revision. Once a tune is purchased, we will walk u thru each step via emails, super simple process once u get everything set up!
No need, the EcuTek Bluetooth module is universal and can be used in multiple cars at the same time. What is locked to each car is the license associated with the ECU.
You can tune a completely stock car if you wish, but a heat exchanger at least will prevent heat soaking and give you consistent power with back to back pulls. If you plan to do mods anyways, get the tune once you have all the parts, so you won’t have to retune later after tuning it stock!
My ecutek does not want to pair up! It keeps telling me I have to download the app! Which I do have! So far, I'm disappointed with this product. I'm thinking about sending it back!
@Legendz nope not at! I've been emailing z1motorsports because that's where i purchased the tune, they have said that they have been getting multiple emails about this and are working with ecutek to see if its the tune or our phones. No updates on z1 yet.

Did anyone figure this problem out? I'm also having the same issue. I can find it on the app but it just won't pair. When i choose "My Car" the following page says "failed to initialize vehicle interface"
