Hi, Do you have a good collection of save files for the ED64 plus? Those .EEP save files are hard to source! I am mainly looking for 100% completion file for wwf no mercy.
Hey man that analog problem is due to the aftermarket controller you purchased i have the same problem but with a different game testing it on an actual cartridge. It worked normally when I switched to an OEM controller from Nintendo
Likely, your control problems were caused by moving the control stick while power was coming on. I recommend trying it again. If this happens again, hold L and R and hit start to re-calibrate the stick
Came to the comments to post this. Found this out playing No Mercy and my character wouldn't stop "taunting." The N64 sets the control stick to "zero" wherever it is when powered on.
In your other video where you added other emulators for GB and GBC, I’m curious if you had the chance to try either a different GoldenEye rom, or another N64 emulator with goldeneye rom and seen if it worked better on the cartridge.
6:40 i doubt the controller issue was due to the cartridge, im not sure if thats even possible. goldeneye is notoriously picky on controllers and deadzones, you should have tried another controller or compared it to the original goldeneye cart - i bet the same thing woulda happened
You're actually not the 1st person to suggest this! I believe I used a 3rd party controller in this video but I have tested an original controller with the same result. However both controllers seem to work with the actual cart. Weird
No, since I only really ran into the issue with one game I didn't press the issue any further. The ED64 did come with a disk though that I never bothered to use 🤔

@@BelowAverageGaming it’s a software patch you have to apply. This is for the extreme nerds who love to play their consoles on Old tube CRT tv. Start reading about PVM/BVMs and you see what I mean.
I have had my original n64 since the mid 90's and I can tell you at times the controllers go wonky and I have had to turn the power off and back on again, then it is fine. Also I am not very technical minded but I imagine that the machine will just read the roms exactly like they are actual real cartridges as it is not actually an emulator it is real hardware. In other words it is no different whatsoever in terms of reading the roms, from playing the real games. At least i would think this is the case, i have it too.. been great so far. P.s like the raspberry blows aka fart sounds, i just subbed for that reason alone 😄 🤣
Is this cart of good quality and if it lasts for many years and you can play for many hours with this cassette? . Is that I have heard that this cassette is of poor quality and can probably damage your n64 or Is it false what they say?
It won't damage your N64, as for the quality you get what you pay for. In my video I showed you there was bugs with 007 GoldenEye so I'm sure there's bugs with other games. About for $60 you get to play most with no issues. If you want a higher quality one you'll have to pay almost $200 and grab an actual N64 ever drive
The hard part is finding where to buy this. I’m seeing eBay listing it over 100$ and up. Aliexpress sells it from china but it take a while to ship and arrive. Amazon has it slightly more expensive but I think ships from US.
They were a lot cheaper up until recently, the developer who designs these lived in Ukraine. After the conflict started he stopped making these which jacked up the prices
I bought mine 3 years ago and it’s still going strong I just dust mine off and I try not to mess with it as much. Besides that sometimes it does crash or the game doesn’t boot up but a restart and blow the cartridge (not like that” tadaaaa it works. I so far beat mega man64 doom 64 and Silicon Valley. Get the expansion pak with this and it’ll make everything better
Yeah so far I've already beaten the ocarina of time and Bomberman hero on it, the only thing I really don't like is holding on to the reset button to save certain games
I wonder if you run into a game that doesn't run so well like to you said in this case golden eye if you could put the ad card in the PC delete that 007 rom and download a different one of your choice
Mine just randomly crashes. I have tried formatting the settings card. Used different power supplies. I have three permanent white lines on the top of the games running on all roms. I might have some cold or cracked solder joints.
@@ODLK2004 It's because there are two versions of the game. The first release crashes with the Expansion Pak in, but the second fixes that bug, that would be Revision A which is the one included on the ED64Plus. You can tell which version of the game has the fix because the back will have a stamp on it that ends in a letter A. The first release doesn't have that, it's just numbers, no letter.
I had somebody telling me that it could be because I was using a third-party controller. I haven't personally went back to test that theory, but that is an option

@@door2977 I was actually looking into getting a few more Everdrives (i.e. Everdrive 64) and noticed they were OOS everywhere. Saw this comment, then looked at my GB Everdrive... Yup, "Made in Ukraine" right at the top.
