If you enjoyed this interview, make sure to give it a thumbs up and subscribe. What was your biggest takeaway from this video? I read every comment, and would love to know!
Super impressive individual. Spot on conversation and replayed this twice. Tim is definitely going to be on my list. How he breaks it down to basics is just awesome. Easier to understand and quicker to learn from.
Ed you have completely changed my life. I have a little girl on the way, my first child, due in 1 week. You and your videos have allowed me to succeed in sales in the life insurance industry to a degree where there is no question I am and will be able to continue to provide for my family. I love you brother, and mark these words. I WILL be a guest on your podcast in the next 5 years. My story has the potential to change hundreds of thousands of people’s lives. 2 years ago I was hopeless, despondent drug addict with no goals. On January 30th 2017 I woke up looking up at the sky in the parking lot of a 7/11 in the suburbs of Boston. I had overdosed. Now I’m succeeding in commission only sales and have a family of my own, I have big goals, and most importantly I have faith. To say that I’ve changed is an understatement. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you and remember what I said, you and I will meet in the coming years. I look forward to it.
Our trials shouldn't be called trials. They're our schools. The tougher our school, the tougher our potential. I'm proud of you brother. I pray many more blessings for you and your family.
Thanks for sharing your story brother. It has motivated me a lot to change my situation in life. Stories of people like you are what is needed in todays world.
So, I'm not a teary eyed person. When he told about his dad protecting him from knowing they were too broke for the cab ride, I couldn't stop the tears. I've never known that kind of love. I can only pray that I can learn to give it.
What a joke! Who gets emotional because they can’t get a cab?! A cab ride isn’t exactly a basic necessity like buying food anyway. I phoned up my son from the supermarket to ask for some money when I couldn’t afford to buy my food at the till. I had no money. I wasn’t trying to hide the fact to protect him. It’s not an emotional story. Nobody cries about that- and this was about getting food to eat- not getting cabs; can’t afford that!!
@@mintymintygogo the fact that you took the time to criticize someone because they have an emotion different than you, says more about you than anything. I'm sorry you are unable to think and feel differently, but who feels the need to judge another cuz they do?
I wasn’t meaning to criticise you - or anyone- sorry if I did. When I had no money for food I was not thinking I shouldn’t tell my son yet the father you refer to didn’t tell his son he couldn’t afford a cab which is less essential than food. Was I wrong to ask my son for money when I needed food- that was my point.
@@mintymintygogo I can have a lot of pride when it comes to asking for help. I was homeless at 17. I'm 42 now. I've made sure my wife and daughter was taken care of. I had back surgery and I don't have family. I had to start a givesendgo fundraiser to support my family. I'm not going to judge u cuz u asked ur kid. We all hope our kids pass us anyway. The fact you have that type of relationship is admirable. I didn't mean to come off as a hard ass. I've just seen so many ppl use social media to tear ppl down. I started my podcast to do the opposite. I appreciate your reply. Most ppl just get hateful. You're respectful. That says even more about u. I get taken out of context all the time. I'm the last person to hold it against you.
This is one of my favorite interview by Ed! I just think Ed is such a brilliant active listener and asks great questions. I learn so much. I take notes. I'm fascinated how humble these men are. They aren't arrogant or boastful. It's just nice to see men show true emotions without restraint. I loved and shared this video bc it really is my favorite. Being a woman who does love sports and to hear him say Kobe worked harder but MJ worked smarter...I was like wow! Two of the Goats! Kobe God rest his soul ...I hope his family sees this too. Every damn millennial needs to watch this,! Well done Ed!! Well done!!👌❤️
Ed, I found your channel 3 weeks ago I wrote a contract with myself after. One of the contingencies in that contract was I would go back to listen and watch every single video. This is my favorite episode along with the David Goggins episode. Thank you for these gifts.
That part where he got emotional talking about his dad made me shed tears as well. Life can go downhill really fast when you are financially unstable. I'm so happy for Tim Grover, he made sure he beat the odds. Thank you for this interview Ed, this one felt personal and opened up a lot of new perspectives for me.
"You have to crave the end result so intensely that the work becomes irrelevent" That hit me so hard. One of the best interviews I've ever seen, let alone just the amazing interviews Ed's done 👌🏼
I fucking love Tim he’s such an incredible man/human seeing him get emotional made me tear up. The work he’s done in his lifetime is absolutely amazing. Truly one of the greatest.
"Most people don't have the resilience....when failure comes kicking in, you crumble...you got to have the resilience over and over again..." - an inspired reminder.
I freakin LOVE how excited Ed gets when Tim says stuff! He's like a kid in a candy shop, just fidgety excited. I freakin love it! so powerful, so inspiring. I definitely aspire to be like these guys. I work day in, and day out on my business. On vacation, working. At home late at night, working on my business. At the office, working hard, headphones in and just doing the grime. I don't love the hard work all the time, I actually have a lot of times I struggle, and question why, but it's guys like these two that draw the force to follow and the dream. Push through the hard stuff. There is a bright side to it, I'm just still in hell fighting to get to the light. So EXCITED about the future. Thank you so much Mr. Mylett for putting this stuff out there. It helps to reenforce the fact that there is a bright side to the struggle, its just the time that it takes to get there, it will be worth it. Again I am sooo unbelievably grateful to be apart of this generation of information. Thank you 🙏
I just list to the Leanne Rimes interview & then this one. Both are very good, but you can feel the difference in Ed. I love it, it shows so much growth.
The minds of these two guys are just on a another level!!!!!! and the fact that they are willing to give some of their knowledge, because they want to make an impact on people. Not just people, but people that WANT TO GET BETTER.!!!! THANK YOU ED MYLETT!!! THANK YOU TIM GROVER!!!!!! cant wait for the next!
I watch your videos to be around CLEANERS! I deeply appreciate this channel and all the work you’ve put in throughout your life to build yourself and show up so powerfully! I honor you my friend!🥰🤘🏻⚡️❤️🔥👩🏻🏭
Ed thank you once again. I had been holding a grudge against my father, and then you just did it by asking the question from Tim Grover about his father, opened my eyes. I am making my father one gratitude point, thank you.
I've watched 5 different Interviews with Tim Grover at this being number six is by far the best because I personally think that Ed Mylett asks the right questions in which Tim Grover can give the best answers
I saw this video a few days ago, picked up ‘Relentless’, finished the book in record time (relentlessly reading!), and WOW! Already, my thought process has changed from cooler to closer. Done! Next level: Cleaner! #maxout all day! 💚
Real man knows the importance of life when you show the emotions you feel for your family. It made the difference in your life. Your are telling your real story which resonate with me on so many levels. Poverty and Hope are partners in life.
Saw Ed Mylett on School of Greatness with Lewis Howes. Now I'm reading Relentless. Love the string of awesomeness I am currently following. Thanks for the good work!
Thanks Ed. I read Tim Grover's first book and it has helped drive me to win some, but not enough. I'll get W1nning to continue the dirty, gritty work of winning.
I’ve learned for me that when you love it,,, it is not work,,, it is the things around it that becomes work! Distractions, when you focus on them, but when you don’t focus on them they are a TEMPORARY inconvenience that you deal with and then let them go....
I really appreciate and love Tim Grover his first youtube video i saw he just kinda moved those butterflies inside my gut and his words effected me as a positive way, yes i love to watch motiovations and motivators but he's kinda special and different for me, and i can say he's brilliant teacher, cleaner and he can be proud his students for example look the way he always take micheal as a good example when ever he simply wanna explain a thing, that means he's real teacher and those teachers like him are so rare in this planet, he's great person and has those diamomd positive vibes, and he can effect someone or change her/his life easily by only listening his precious luctures and stories, I'm so grateful that i found him lately and in this short period he became my icon and favorite person, Tim Grover i know may be you won't see this comment but (Mr Ed will see sure) i have a wish to meet you oneday and i will bring you something (gift) for being your unvisible student insha Allah god bless much love.💖👏
Ed and Tim , Incredible value !!! Definition of a true cleaner ... is one of my biggest takeaway !! Doing what's necessary....doing it all , even after you ve reached a certain level !! Definitely gold here !! Thank you !!🌟
Love this guy. He’s believable beyond doubt. Not because of whom he trained (Michael Jordan and Koby Bryant), but because Tim is the guy that tells you like it is. When a cleaner speaks, you believe!
"In order to take care of others you need to be a little selfish"- Success does take sacrifice, but when you have the money, health & happiness you are in a much better position to help those around you.
@39:04 "Think!! Think bigger! Think better! Don't think homes, think estates. Don't think cars, think automobiles. Don't think watches, think timepieces. Because like you said, it's the way (you think). It all start's a thought. I heard you (Ed) say that on one of your things" - Tim Grover
Massively respect ed guy never stops must have hundreds and thousands of messages a day and I've messaged him twice on instagram and had a reply within a day to both with advice so much respect
Awesome interview with Tim, I love how his mind is set up. Gives it to you real and doesn't give you any BS. I've listened to his audio book a few times now. The breakdown of cooler, closer and cleaners is just spot on.
You wear your beautiful watch on your right hand. That is a tell tale sign that you are a lefty, now that is coming from a watch guy. Love your videos sir Thank you for posting
Excellent!!! I love the story of his dad and his work ethic when he arrived in the US. We do what we need to do to survive and then thrive. Winners have the attitude to succeed.....no matter what obstacle 'tries' to stop us. Thanks Ed.
I have been a high-level athlete my whole life, and couldn't agree more that it carries over into your business! Nobody is gonna push you, you need to push yourself!
As I'm listening(loving every minute) Tim talks a lot about people being cleaners. I'm so intrigued by how great they are. I know the type of people he is talking about, beasts, freaks of nature, intense mfkers. As I'm watching and listening to him tell stories about training with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, I could not imagine in my wildest of dreams that it would be possible to be on even somewhat of the same level as them...until I heard Tim say that cleaners are the people that instinctively help the other people around them in a car when the brakes are applied real hard. It might be the tiniest of similarities, but in the end it's the inches that you gain that mean the most when the clutch situation comes along! Thank you for the inspiration Ed Mylett And Tim Grover!!
I see a lot of overlap between Grover's definition of cooler, closers and cleaners and stages of tribal development from the book Tribal Leadership. Love it. Thank you, Ed, for bringing Tim on your show
I love his book... I wish I seen this interview when it was uploaded last year Big fan of you ed and haven't came across this until now... the time is right Best interview by far!!! Love and respect
I'm not generally inspired by sports-related motivational perspectives but this interviewed changed my thinking. After listening to Tim and Ed make the parallels between cleaners in sports, business and family life, I get it. Great interview!
Incredibly high quality interview. "Cut the BS!" Love it! Ed, you continuously add value to our lives. Thank you so much for being the servant leader that you are! I can't believe I just learned about this book!!! Thank you, Tim!
Hi Ed, I want to let you know I appreciate your time. You are truly an inspiration. I like that you bring guests to talk about becoming someone successful in life. I enjoyed watching this interview with Tim. My favorite part of the interview was when he said “Keep telling yourself something over and over again and you start to believe it. Once you start to believe it you have to figure out the path to make it happen.” I agree with Tim you are a cleaner. You bring out the best in your followers like me. You don’t just say like and comment below. You actually take the time to reply to comments and interact with us. Take care! -Elizabeth
Go back to this real winner’s ! My first podcast made me cry ! Remind’s me of my childhood! I really believe this is what makes you strong and empowered!! Top podcast ! 🙏😇😇 Tim Grover memorable, admirable, Humble ... I would never Stop 🙏🌎🇺🇸🤗😇😇
Hey thanks ed for bringing Tim Grover on the show I learn the difference between a cleaner an closer an how to input it on my own life an apply it #maxout
Thank you for this interview. So much value brought. For the right person at the right time this interview is paradigm changing. Feels like I have been taken to the top of a summit and shown a new horizon of possibility. Thanks Ed!
If you see that genuine positive energy that Mr. Mylett puts off, that is because he is doing what he was born to do. Curious how many people feel that way and have that kind of energy before they go to work.
I never had graduation parties for my 5 kids because they were supposed to graduate, it was their job. That has paid off big in making them successful.
Thank you for this............. hearing his story about his dad being someone in another country, and coming here and having to re-build, was very encouraging 💕
