Never thought I'd be head banging to a breakdown in an Ed Sheeran song but here we are. I love it when bands of different genre's perform together. It often yields super cool genre bends
Also, Ed sheeran is a HUGE metal fan. One of his favorite bands from the Uk is cradle of filth. And dani filth said that Ed and he are in talks to colab. Apparently, Ed has been a BMTH fan since 2006 ish. This is him getting in touch with his roots and youth. I think that is even cooler.
If you look at Ed’s body language throughout this performance, he clearly knows who he’s with, and he knows how to thrive in that setting. That’s why I have huge respect for him as a musician.
It was actually Ed's idea. How mad is that. And he lives heavy music. Imagine ed screaming 😂😂. He said he wanted Oli to go all in with the screams. But I think they did it just the right amount so not to scare the normies too much😂😂. Not everyone likes the heavy, but I love a huge variety of music so I'm loving this. Seen Ed and BMTH live. Both amazing. but the atmosphere of a rock concert beats the experience by a merry mile. Ed was great. Just weird seeing thousands of people just standing around singing with barely any movement. I thought they'd have gone a bit more nut's.

I am a fan of Ed and BMTH and this is so SO good. Ed can literally collaborate with any one and make it work. I can't wait for the studio version of the song on Friday. Also the fact the BMTH were part of opening The Brits is amazing. Can always do with more diversity on that show with regards to rock/metal/alt etc.
Yeah agreed. BMTH can Collab,and have with anyone too, and it always works somehow. I love both Ed and BMTH. But seeing both live, BMTH wins. Although a no frills chill concert with beautiful vocals was nice. The atmosphere at a rock concert is magic. Seeing BMTH for a 2nd time in January and can't freaking wait.

The Brits are known for collabs that you wouldn’t think would be good together but end up completely AWSOME!! I thought this performance was fantastic!! LOVED IT!!!!
I’m a really big Ed fan, and he’s said multiple types. Growing up his favourite music was Eminem and rap a screamo and heavy metal. And now he’s done something in both his favourite styles. Awesome!
ive always been a huge BMTH fan, but im not an ed sheeran fan at all but this was sick!! im surprised by how well this turned out. i do like that ed has an appreciation for other genres & a willingness to try something new. i respect that.
Let make this really simple!…..ED SHEERAN IS A GENIUS!!!!! And can fit into any type of music! That’s why he’s so totally respected from so many artist of all kinds of music. Ed never fails with any kind of collab! And let’s talk about how that MASSIVE set (stage) was FIRE!!!

but in reality what ed did was just stand there and sing with his regular voice, i really don't see the shift or the collaboration, it felt more ed doing his thing and Oliver doing his thing separately lol
