@@goddessl3141 The other dude did it as a joke.. notice how he over exaggerated the whole thing..? as if he were his long lost friend.. MacConaughey's actions were all class
He cares about his guests, extremely witty, and can actually make people laugh without having to resort to politics for a cheap laugh like the American talk shows
We’ve gone from a fake twin, to getting cut in the face with British royalty, building a Lego set on a date, getting burnt to meeting your best mate growing up. What a life
David_Sorry_Ah_No Honestly, why is everyone making such a big deal about that? The way I grew up, when you’re introduced to someone like that, it’s just what a man’s supposed to do! Is that really so odd to other pple.?
It’s kind of a clique-y thing actors do. I’ve had actors be not so nice to me until another actor tells them who I am and then they’re nice. They were only nice because it was Ed’s friend.
@@JaimeDornanLadyYou're right, it is the proper thing to do, but celebrities and A Listers think they're a cut above, and so Matthew shaking hand, without prompt, saying hello, its good manners and shows he thinks hes no better than James from Suffolk
This is so golden. Perfectly shows everyone's personality and how good of a host Graham is. Graham wants them to meet so he said they can meet backstage and Ed being the chill guy he is is like bring him to the couch. And Graham graciously agrees because he knows so well how to work with his guests. McConaughey is perfectly calm and polite through it all, even the burning skin story which is hilarious and crazy
He doesn't seem to be comfortable sitting on those chairs. He did the same when he was on Ellen.Fidgeting all the time and changing positions with one leg folded under him.
@@JaimeDornanLady But it was the very end of the show, that's why Graham didn't want James to come to the sofa, because he'd have to almost immediately go backstage.
I love how Graham sees that Ed is obviously uncomfortbavle telling the story about the cut on his face because of reasons and so he immediately just goes "no no no stop" and doesn't force him into explaining it. That's what I call a respectful host. He doesn't try to get something juicy out of the guest just for his own profit and instead he respects them.
He once said on Phil Scofield's show that he isn't a journalist, just a host who brings celebrities together to swap stories with one another. And it's way more fun than trying to wrangle some juicy bits from them, they give it up all by themselves! That's what makes his show so successful.
Took me until this comment to realize that's Christina Ricci. Went back to look. I recognize her face. She used to be hot. Now she's pretty. She has transitioned nicely.
you got to do a lot to impress him i think :P , but he always listens with great attention thats is nice , only i find the comic quite annoying to be honest
I love that Ed insisted his old school mate be on the couch. Showing that he's not too cool for a "backstage only" catchup 😉 Nice work, mate. 10 points for keeping it real.
I wish north america had talk shows like this. The Graham Norton Show is so natural and the celebrities are mere mortals. Respect to Ed and his mate that was cute.
The first thing my bf ever gave me on our 2nd date was a huge lego spaceship set! Cause I had told him on our first date how I cant seem to find this particular one these days that I had during my childhood.
I've just cried and sobbed for hours after an unfortunate event and I just came here to level up my mood and once again I laughed and forgot all my troubles for a while. Thank you for the upload❤
Sanda Cortan Sereously, there is nothing funnyer than Graham Nortan, watch everything with Jennifer Lawrence, Mark Ruffalo, Eddie Redmeyr ( I know it is written wrong, I'm sorry), Benedict Cumberbatch (especially the one with Harrison Ford) and Robert Downey Jr. But be warned, it is addictive, I bingewatched soooo many times, it is crazy!
Miri Gra I've been a fan for years☺ the only good talkshow and especially the episodes with Miriam Margoyles, Bill Murray, Benedict are absolutely hilarious.
I think, Ed living where he grew up with his original circle of friends keeps him grounded. I'm from the LA area (suburb) and I agree, LA is a tough place to live.
This is at least the 2nd time a guest / famous star has felt comfortable enough to sit beside Graham or on his lap. That says a lot about his remarkable skills as a talk show host. By the way, Ed's friend, James, is handsome.
The last bit of this interview is the the best way of showing when your famous you can do & get whatever you want & the way you want and almost no one will stop you
I just love this interview with Ed! OMG, he can't keep a secret for long! It's even funnier that they were just hanging out with some of The Royal Family, poor Ed gets a slash on his face accidentally!!! Great laughs after the fact! Sending Positive Vibes Your Way. PEACE LOVE & DREAMS!🇨🇦 💞🌐📷🎥🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍🎤👑🎸🤣😄😃💜🌍💚🌎💙🌏🕊💝💭🎬
What's not to love about Ed!!?? Every story ... and then meeting his old school mate. And agree with the person below ... Matt is so chill, he just listens and affirms. Love watching these types of interviews.
What I've learned is that Ed is a rebel or don't know how to take instructions LOL. He should watch Keanu's interview here on Graham about that motorcycle accident and learn from the master.
That's the great thing I learned from the Graham Norton Show since I got kinda addicted to it. (Discovered it weeks ago more or less by chance 😁) Super or not so super stars, whom you ever thought of as being arrogant, turn out to be like really nice people from around the corner - which they are, all in all. Graham treats them respectfully and cautiously - and this is what we, the audience, get in reward.
