I'm glad he won the case that felt very odd to me that that was even happening I listened to that thinking out loud song like once but it did not sound like a rip off to me at all

Your reaction when you were playing "Life Goes On" was like mine when I heard it. The fact that I relate to the song made it worse. The idea of "how am I suppose to live without you here" comes out profound here. The melody, the lyrics, folky type, and how stripped back the track is and how he releases his voice as well. Damn, it's just too much hey

Fantastic review!!! Funny you mentioned Foy Vance, because Ed co-wrote Hills of Aberfeldy with him! I was lucky enough to see Ed's Subtract gig in Brooklyn last month, when he played all the songs from the album. He of course ended with Hills of Aberfeldy, but then transitioned right into Parting Glass. It was STUNNING!
