Ed Sloan is one of if not the most underrated vocalists his voice is absolutely memzering and crossfade is one of the most underrated bands I can't wait for the new album
Yeah its kinda weird how Maroon 5 is somehow seen as godtier, when this guy does the same thing but 1- Does it just as well, and 2-Has been around longer.
I recognize that I was the biggest fan of Crossfade in Japan. I loved the sound of those days, and even in 2023, I still listen to it frequently. At least you seem to have found your own path. It may be different from what I expected, but I will continue to support you from distant Japan.
The talent has never waivered.... The music industry is so locked down.. If you are not playing their games, they don't let you get distributed... We appreciate your amazing talents though, no matter how much they hold you back.
Oh I heard a bit of a rasp at 2:07 ish. That voice is in there. My wish is by the time I leave this life I get to hear Ed perform all the Crossfade songs. I've been playing guitar for 29 years and play some of those songs on a weekly basis for practice. If you read this Ed, share you gift with us again.
funny u say that bc i been playing since i was like 16 im by far no pro or great but i to am learning crossfades song colors and cold something about loving songs u hear and when u manage to play it u feel it so deep its one of the best feelings there is

What an awesome song. Had it on repeat today on my long drive to work, with the volume just a touch below blaring and the windows down. I love finding songs like this every so often that make you slow down and enjoy life a little more than you usually do.

Hey Ed! I've loved your work in Crossfade for many years and Lay Me Down is one of my favorite songs ever. I read that you went through an incredibly rough time for awhile there and I'm glad to see you writing songs again. It's an inspiration to see you coming to a better place and feeling complete. Loving your new music !! Beautiful voice Ed. My dad got me into Crossfade when I was like 6, and I’ll never forget you guys. I remember how excited we were when the second and third album came out. Debut is still a masterpiece I can never forget. I’ll always miss Crossfade but I’ll definitely be keeping up with this stuff too 🔥🔥🔥

Hi Ed. Love your new music. Also love your old stuff! Would you consider uploading some acoustic stuff from the self-titled Crossfade album? There's a few tracks floating about but most are incomplete!
It picks up around mark 1:19, rocks a bit more than the rest of the song. I agree, it is vastly different than Crossfade's previous music. But that is why this is a solo single. Artists evolve over time and so can their sound. I just discovered this. I love it. I don't think I would have if the whole song sounded like the beginning, but the switch up showcases his vocal ability.
Ed Sloan, I met you back in 2011 at Rock on the Range and I told you you were my biggest vocal influence. Still stands true to this day, would love to do a collaboration with you with my band Between Now And Forever. Great song! Doubt we will get another Crossfade album. Looks like he’s evolved and changed his musical style. Crossfade was crazy awesome but I’m sure it didn’t pay the bills. I bought everything they put out.
That Vocal reverb doe. I gotta say you're an amazing vocalist, especially cause I'm in your range so it gives me aspirations. Haha. But I miss the Nu-Metal aspects of Crossfade.

Love it! If anyone knows where I can get a hold of a copy of the crossfade acoustic album, thatd be great! Can't find it anywhere, only the few acoustic they released with their regular albums.
I can relate to these feelings almost perfectly ed, a conviction to fight harder because you dont feel like your doing enough, you only feel satisfied when your doing what he wants and any other time leaves you feeling empty and sad, correct me if im wrong but i always feel like i can do more and be stronger if i just let go of myself even more
