@@dauntsix7826 An artist's career isn't yours to dictate just because you're one fan among a hundred thousand who doesn't even really support them. Stop being such a prick, man.
Ed Sloan is a fucking legend. 7 string master, master vocalist, master frontman. I'm cool with him doing his own thing and making this type of music if that's what he wants to do. He's earned it. I just hope he never stops making music and doesn't lose the passion. He is one of my main influencers, especially back on 2010 when I was just starting.
Dear Ed, I'm a Muslim. I feel this sincerest melody of yours touches my personal soul and heart in a very peaceful rule. I have been listening to 'Without You' for nearly a month. I love what you wrote because it relates to the feeling of sadness, crumbling and dreadful as a human me. Now, it gives me a special feeling, re-connecting with so much joy and love which absolutely between me and My Lord understands... Keep casting love and peace...
Means so much to me that this music found you and speaks to you. Thank you so much for this message. I hope you continue to find the best in this life! - ed
@@edsloan5403 I can definitely relate. The peace and the ways this song can bring out tons of different emotions is absolutely incredible. Someday I hope I can make music like this for others to enjoy in a similar way; to hear you doing that already is truly inspiring and really cool. Thanks for uploading this and allowing us to enjoy your art. P.S. None of my songs ever come close even though I have "Auto Crossfade" enabled in my DAW.
I got to give it to you Ed you have a beautiful vocal range! That's what drew me to your music to begin with. I'm glad you came back to continue composing new songs! The last few songs You've wrote made ponder on who is on your mind. If it's God or some person. I'm sorry that you struggle trying to figure yourself out. Personally i think you have found it. Why? Because you've touched so many hearts with your music. Your thought process runs deep and you share deep emotions. I'll always appreciate the music you've wrote that have gotten me through very dark times. Thank you and please strive forward with your writing. It's saved so many people!
I saw you guys live YEARS ago in a little bar in Duluth Mn. You sat down with me after playing your set and you were the kindest person ever. I still remember that day and it got me through some dark times back then. Now all these years later its so cool to see you still recording beautiful music :-).
Can't wait for your comeback man! Would love to hear some new solo stuff and possibly new Crossfade stuff. Even a B-Sides and rarities compilation would be amazing! Miss you bro!
I had faith he would come back but as the months and the years have passed, I think we should all assume he hung up the hat. He’s not coming back. At this point, we can only listen to and appreciate what he created for us in the past….and life goes on.
Ed, Crossfade is still my go to band all these years and I love your new solo stuff because it hits home for me and my faith as well. Thanks for being so real man.
I think they broke up but idk I'm a new fan I was fishing around yesterday because the most recent crossfade song had been out 10 years ago, I read that Ed said new content was coming in 2018, but since it's been 2 years later I'm pretty sure it's not happening and they broke up, it could also be that the damn pandemic delayed any work they had planned on doing but again I don't know much
Ed sloan I'm such a big fan thank you for being you and please don't not stop with this beautiful music ever. I'm sure we all would love to hear a lot more from you we all miss you and hope you're doing good! I've been a fan since I was 12 I first heard crossfade on the free sample of the PSP and been a fan ever since I'm 25 now! And trust me if it was not for your music I would of been lost in life but your music is just so fitting to my life that it has had me going and it will keep me going! Ed sloan please do all the music you can we love you're talent and we want more! Sorry if I ask for to much I just figured I ask! Thank you!
I love you, after crossfade, this will be a new stage for everyone, and a very important one for you and I suppose that new projects, we will always keep crossfade and we will be attentive to your new projects and illusions, although I personally will want to hear something new later of crossfade and remember that stage that marked us so much. luck, you are very big.
Good stuff Ed! I don't know if you'll see this, but I was just thinking about Crossfade because I just moved and found an old box of keepsakes. In it, I have a pick, a ticket, and a flyer, all signed by you and the members of Submersed. It was at an Alter Bridge concert in 2004. I was only 17 at the time, and I want to thank you for being so kind to me back then. I didn’t have a backstage pass or anything. The concert was in Houston, and I just saw you and a few other guys walk out of the venue and into a Hard Rock Café afterwards. It was like midnight, and I just walked up to you in the restaurant and asked you to sign my stuff, which you so graciously did. The flyer was for Submersed, and you drew a little moustache on their lead singers face! Bless you brother! Keep up the good work! I especially like your song Surrender.
Guys I know we all miss Crossfade ... but CHILL OUT... It doesn't help when everyone keeps on pressing the issue of why? ... The (why?) will come when it's time.
Dude, I’ve been in a bad spot. “Colors” brought me here. I found new-to-me music. And I love it. Your voice is calming even when you are going hard-core. Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words and for listening. I really hope you find firm footing soon. Sometimes it seems like we aren’t meant to find the good spot - but you will. Look up and out as much as you can. Best, Ed
Hopefully you'll make a comeback with Crossfade. Crossfade's music helped shape my teen life. I miss hearing their music. I just feel like that generation of music was too early for it's time. If they dropped something these days, it would be gold.
I've been listening to you for some years, and now, listening to you through your solo career, I discovered this pure sense of light, hope and life. So beautiful and inspiring.
They wont. I appreciate their body of work but there is no looking forward to new music. Too many years have passed…too many long hiatus’s. Bands with continued success don’t go dark for 5+ years. The last time we heard from Ed was in late 2018/early 2019. Since then, crickets. No explanation, nothing. If he can’t finish the solo record, there is absolutely zero chance of a Crossfade album. I respect Ed and the band. They have created some of the best tunes I’ve heard in music but that’s in the past. And all we can do is relisten to the same tracks that made them great in the first place.
@@joshr223 true, there’s always a sliver of hope. I just find it strange they went completely lights out with no communication. He kept making promises they were coming back soon…stuff is in the works..etc. but yeah, who knows.
Aw Eddie. I've always loved your beautiful voice. I remember listening to Crossfade in my teen years and I always wondered what happened to y'all. I'm happy to see you are still making great music. So much growth! Amazing 💖😊
My school of rock teacher played drums with Ed Sloans side project band Crossfade in the summer of 05 in an outside venue and said Ed Sloan and the band are cool guys.
This might be my favorite one of the three released so far they're all so good though! This one is just so relatable to me lyricaly and its awesome hearing you hit these high notes.
Ed, thank you so much for your songs. I'm a true fan even your crossfade days. I really appreciate you. This is one of my favorite songs you have ever done. Please continue writing. Your a true inspiration God bless you 🙏
Never have I seen such massive growth from a misician . How the hell does this not have more views? You sir are the most inspiring musical influence I have ever had. Never comming home... Breathing slowly.. on and on and on.. song after song I listen to, I can't believe your growth as a vocalist. I wish I could convey the sheer adoration I have for you as a fellow life long musician and fan. Thank you for everything, Ed! I don't know if you read these comments or not but seriously man.. wow... just wow..
When I first heard Crossfade, I was immediately attached to it, which was strange for me because metal bands all sounded the same to me. But you guys had a very unique sound, one that was in your instruments, and another in your voice. You made Crossfade very special to me and getting to hear these songs is a dream come true. Thank you (again lol)
It’s 2022 ED I need you and your music please! My cousin just passed and I need you more than ever!!!! You’ve help me growing up and now I need you to help me keep going please Ed!!!
