I prefer rechargeable too but I like these lights because if power goes out, you can use a standard alkaline battery once the rechargeable goes dead.

I have rechargeable lights, but my daily workhorse light is a compact and lightweight Streamlight clip-on flashlight powered by "AA" alkaline batteries and it provides 28 lumens and lasts over 50 hours.

don't forget if you lose power in your house you can use your car to charge electronics via power port or cigarette lighter as they used to be called​@@SurvivingtheDaily
