As a spokesperson for your fans, we need to meet Jesse so that we can say thank you and express our gratitude for everything that he does and has done! Thank you Jesse, and thanks Erica for all that you both do. Take care Graham
Summer edc is definitely different from winter’s. Longer days longer time frames away from home. Here 5 things I consider essential summer EDC for a kit in New England. First a tick removal tool. My favorite is the tickease tweezers. One end is for human use the opposite end for dogs. Next a bandanna/neck gaiter for the bugs and sun etc. Third a lens cloth for cleaning sun glasses of pollen and sweat. Fourth- band aids and neosporin cause, you know, knives in the field sometimes bite. Fifth, battery/cord for cellphone esp if you’re outside all day. You have the “tools” covered but these 5 things don’t take much room and will improve your daily life.
When I leave the house I practically carry allways my EDC backpack (first aid kit, flashlight, knife, saw, multitool, firesteel, paracord etc) and personally, wallet, handy, 1-2 knives, tactical pen, DC3 sharpener and a keyring with a little flashlight. Greetings from germany and happy Easter.
Erica 🎉🎉🎉🎉. That fixed blade K390 looks awesome 👏. Love the Prybar, Super sweet. And yes for sure as Summer approaches it’s definitely time to lighten the EDC gear/load for sure. Great video Erica, Thank You.
She said hi😂😂 great video as always! I have the same problem when I don’t carry a SAK..I put a classic on my keys soon could have the toothpick and tweezers 😅
I’m with you on carrying just a pocket knife and a prybar. I carry my NGMCo Mr. NiceBar every day in a BadGoods leather sheath, along with usually a Para 3, and a crack pipe.
I’ve got same hitch and timber which I really like…I’m only carrying a key bar with 3 keys, a Benchmade proper, hinderer shorty pen clipped on the bottom/middle of the notepad so it seats between the front pockets to keep the profile slim, and a button compass inside which I’ll prob never use outside of curiosity lol(my truck pack has a real compass, close by 99% of the time). Point being the hitch and timber can be great “if” you can go light on your edc. Keeping my pocket dump from rattling around and protecting it was what started me into making leather products…no leather is as thin as the waxed canvas though
Awesome review! The knives I was carrying today were a Buck 347 Alaskan with S30V, and a Case medium stockman with yellow delrin and CV blades. Cheers, E!
Look at what you use the most. If you have to keep going back to the bag for a multitool then carry one instead of the prybar. A suspension clip on a SAK makes them disappear in the pocket. I carry a Leatherman in a belt sheath and don't think I could function everyday without it!
I really like that knife, looks sharp literally and figuratively! That’s a solid carry too, and I like how you include a crucifix! I already switched to my summer carry. I carry a Beretta subcontract Storm, Leatherman Signal, Victorinox SD, an Amazon flashlight, an Opinel mini knife for food, a notebook, and pen.
There are toothpick & tweezer carry options for your key ring if you want to shelve the SAK or prefer an Alox model. I love the pockets on the bib of overalls for a lot of these edc essentials. A multitool, flashlight, pocket screwdriver, and small vise grips earn their place there most days.
I seriously thought you were about to say "so I can't wear blue jeans in the summer, and I really have to cut down on..CHEESEBURGERS" 🤣 Your summer carry is awesome!! Going minimal is a must when it's hot out! I usually just carry super lightly too and leave a bunch of extra gear in the car with your Mom, who looks after it for me. I'm curious how long you'll last without your Swiss Army Knife tho E...sounds like you're missing it just a lil bit maybe?! I used my PJB to stir my coffee the other day! Such useful tool! You completely forget it's on you until you need it. LOVE that Failsafe Goods sheath for the Dart...that would fit a whole bunch of stuff, pry bars included! So excited to see what's next from you and Levi!! The Dart design is perfection!! Congratulations again on the drop tomorrow!!! Awesome video, Erica!!! ❤❤
I have been carrying the microtech MSI For a few weeks now, this is the first time I've used m390mk And so far have to say it's doing pretty good. Still razor-sharp after a few weeks.
Have you ever thought to use a small crossbody bag in the summer…..I carry a small one across my chest that fits 3 knives.A multi tool, my phone my wallet and some other edc gear……That keeps my shorts empty and my hands free👍🏻I too like to strip down in the summer😂
I’d love to get my hands on a dart to try out as my first edc fixed blade. I’ll see if I can get one! Great to hear from you and what you’re up to/carrying these days. Summers around the corner! About time to change up the carry myself! Much love -J
hoping you got a kodiak "Kub" mini rechargeable flashlight yo.. it's seriously the best EDC flashlight I've ever used and costs 20$ at walmart 30$ online somehow. i bought like 5 as Christmas gifts for people.. pretty sure everyone thinks i know everything now lol, the rechargeable factor on a high powered Aluminum cased mini flashlight is no brainer IMO
I've, been looking at that Hitch and Timber pocket tool pouch for a while now myself. However what's stopping me from purchasing it, is exactly what your saying in this video, I'm afraid it's gonna be too big to carry in the pocket. I could get it just to have it in my backpack though. However the backpack i got is a maxpedition litvhore, and that thing by it self is one big organizer. So not really sure if I wanna buy a small organizer to put in a big organizer. Maybe if i get a smaller backpack with less pockets😁
i enjoy my spyderco ladybug , small highly effective. i loved your pry barswith those cool fobs. smuttynose is a great craft biere we enjoy your channel and honest opinions.
