A lot of you guys seem to prefer to carry open emitter optics on your pistols. How do you clean/mitigate the debris/dead skin/body hair that accumulates. I love the ease of cleaning a closed emitter, but like Mr. “Likes the feeling of 5 inches in his pants” bigger is better if possible. I just hated the occasional draw to find a dirty optic, but I’d prefer the size of the sro for performance reasons. Any maintenance/cleaning tips greatly appreciated.
I don't think any of us have ever experienced an actual problem with an open emitter get obstructed by anything. But like the other guy said, you typically just have to wipe it off with a microfiber or t-shirt every now and then.
I keep a can of compressed air and a lens pen by my lockboxes and safes. A quick blast and brush out is usually all it takes to get it fully serviceable. I’ve actually never had an issue with scratching an optic, but as a hobbyist car detailer, I can’t bring myself to wipe something with a cloth until I’ve removed any grit that might be on it.
Great video! I would love one every six months or so because it seems your EDC is always evolving. I would also love to hear/see what you've tried that hasn't worked out and why. I also miss Sawyer!
Don’t know how everyone carried 12 o’clock with the big holsters. I carry appendix but simple single clip holster. Not that easy using a public restroom or that day gentlemen might get excited
I would love to see some content on what pants the tier 1 team likes to utilize to carry this gear efficiently. That’s my biggest struggle. I carry 2 iPhones, AirPods, wallet, EDC Pouch, knife, keys. And never have enough pocket space. I know I know, Vertx this and Vertx that. But who can afford enough Vertx apparel to make it through a whole work week? 🤣
I did. Saved up and bought what I needed from Vertx. Wearing a full Vertx ensemble right now. Socks, pants, shirt, bag. Will do the same the rest of the week. Awesome gear. But yes pricy. But if you want/need it you can find a way to afford it. A few items at a time. Buy when they have sales, like right now!
@@jeffbrown7017 Delta Stretch 2.1 and the Delta Stretch LT. LT stands for light. They are a lighter fabric version of the delta 2.1. Also comes in shorts which I also own. So many pockets and still look streamlined.
Interesting to see how much people carry. If it’s warm and even cold I’m on a motorcycle so handgun pocket knife phone and only the keys I need. Seems like folks carry a lot of extra

Good call! We have talked about belts in previous videos, we all typically wear different ones, but a lot of us like the EDC belt that we made in collaboration with Kore Essentials as well as the EDC-S belt, both available on our website.

It’s the guys that think they are running to the truck at a mall and going back in to an active shooter situation that bother me! You’re just gonna be in the way and most likely get killed in that situation!

Will someone please explain why you would want to carry a G45 vs a G17? Most people i see with the G45 have an x300, TLR1, or Modlite, that extends the length of the gun anyways. Im just looking for actual reasons, not trying to be a nay sayer. I personally carry a G26, I like the small profile and it works for me. It seems the G45 took over the place of the G19 for some folks.
Probably just preference. Some people feel like the shorter barrel and slide is more comfortable than a longer gun. And others might like the recoil impulse of the g19/45 and the way the slide reciprocates. Just preference.
What kind of holster do you pick to fit that Atlas? I don’t see atlas listed on any of your available models. Same for some of the other 2011 platforms like Masterpiece Arms?
We don't have specific options for them because they don't fit perfectly. We only test fit the holsters with the actual guns if it's listed on the website. But I will say the Staccato holster options do seem to fit Atlas' fairly well.
Everyone has their preference! A couple of the guys here have been running the new Zev OZ9 V2's pretty hard lately and they have been running flawlessly. Probably 20-30k rounds collectively between 4 different models. They shoot insanely well. Miles' and Colin's G45 are sweet too.
Will apx gun only Zev holster fit Glock g5 ? I know in tbe past y’all said g5 to go backwards compatible w/glock and it’s worked w/Zev but curious on the actual Zev specific fitting Glocks.
Most Atlas' will fit in the staccato holster options that correlate with the barrel length. The only issue might be the thumb safety if you have an oversized one.
