Stuff like this - the old Wheeler Dealers, inspired me to work on my own cars! No need to fear of a bit of paint or elbow grease, anyone can do it, if you're patient enough!

My first car was one like this, a 230E, also in silver, and it gave you that special old school mercedes feel. It was not just a car, but a Mercedes. They were in a class by themselves.

I drove one as a kid, it was an automatic and I think it was a sports version. It loves to rev, and that bad boy spins it's wheel when you launch it. So good. I watched the car die from rust though 😭😂

A great thing with Mercedes bonnet hinges is how you can open the bonnet to a near 90 degree for access. As I recall, this applies to 123/124/210/211 series and probably several others, too.

Good, old, Edd China. Teaching people how to work on cars. Sad that it ended the way it did, and the production wanted to cut his work down to a collage. Hope he is getting them residuals for this stuff. It's still gold.

they just upload everything in 1080p on here, this episode is nearing 20 years old at this point as was originally filmed in480p standard definition in 4:3 to its zoomed in also...hence the quality

This episode is very old and was the 5th car from the very first series of Wheeler Dealers from 2003. The video probably wasn't shot in proper HD and has now been upscaled.

Go buy an original part. You save work, time, other fitting products and the original part will fit the car properly. Is it that costy?! Do your math and look at the finished job. You’ll get the unswer and the new buyer will be pleased to pay the correct amount of money for the car.
