Used for "News 2" from 2000-2002. Apparently, a version of this plays sometimes on The Price is Right, but I wouldn't know, since I don't watch game shows.
FACTOID: At this point, another piece by Kalehoff (the "NBC Stations" theme, I believe it was called) was running on WNBC's newscasts simultaneously, meaning viewers on two different stations in New York got to hear Edd's work.

Oh yeah, they use it sometimes on TPIR when a car is being introduced in one of the showcases!

@@mikeythekellyclarksonfan1955 Sometimes, yeah. As for the remix, I know they had self-contained vamps on the original music package. Most likely, it was recycled from there.

WCBS-TV continued using it until 2003, when it was replaced by John Henger's "News in Focus" (originally used for KCBS-TV from 1997 to 2003) but it was still used for the close for a couple months after new graphics were introduced.

So, it was exactly only 4 years that Kalehoff's theme was used for the local station because they began using it in 2000 replacing the 1998 Deaf Dog Music package.

Don’t forget just plain ol CBS 2 for most of 2001 (I.e. “CBS 2 at 5” and “John Slattery, CBS 2” for a reporter sign off)

Yep, this is played on Price. Kalehoff himself composed the 1994 TPIR cues, and of course did NBR and MNF.

Prior to that, they used the news music package commissioned for them by Deaf Dog Music from 1998-2000.

@FireyDoesRandomThingsYT The Deaf Dog Music pack, the 1989 theme, and the Palmer News pack (yep, Shelly Palmer of Millennium 3 fame), all have the WBBM signature, as does the KCBS-TV John Hegner News on Focus pack.

@@gameshowguy2000 The Deaf Dog music pack was essentially a remix of Non-Stop Music's "WCBS News" (which was used by sister station WBBM-TV Chicago from 1999-2000), they used a DJ for that one.

@@gameshowguy2000 Also don't forget the WBBM '97 theme, as well as Non-Stop's "WBBM News" (which was used for a short time before switching to "WCBS News") and Gari's "Enforcer" (which was originally commissioned for WBBM-TV in 1994, but returned in 2000 and again in 2002).
