I adore Edda Moser as Zanger von Mozart. Clearly she is commanding and vain, the same way a Generalissimo is, a Prima Donna. Do I want her barking at me in the morning? Nein! Do I want her singing "The Vengeance of Hell"? Bravissima!
I find her sense of humor quite refreshing! And indeed, Mozart did write very difficult passages- but as she writes in her autobiography, she owes a lot to Mozart ❤ I think she must have deeply loved his music
Until you detractors have walked in her shoes, and surpassed her accomplishments, you are not competent to criticize. Fighting through a career with its ups and downs requires guts, facing tough realities and persevering as best one can. When she speaks her mind, it deserves to be heard as coming from one from within the industry. She served her art with distinction and dedication. Period.

I think that iskenderuna's german is obviously less expert-like than yours. She is not aggressive at all. Edda Moser has so much humour, and her "complaints" about Mozart's difficult notes is a joke and should not be taken serious

I don‘t believe a word of this- I just read her autobiography „Ersungenes Glück“, and although her life is tragic, this woman is a beacon of strength and inner values. Unfortunately, reading remarks like this by Mr. Kesting, I do feel like this sense of human dignity is not a rule in what I will call „show business“. I don‘t find his rude comments worth quoting. Mrs.Mosers timeless renditions of heavenly music have my fondest admiration and fill my heart with gratefulness.
A very aggressive personality with some very strange opinions. When she meets Mozart she is going to tell him that he did terrible things to singers because he wrote such difficult music - see if he cares what Ms. Moser thinks. She has got it in for too many people - conductors, stage directors. She doesn't stop complaining.......
