Eddie Angel is a force of nature. As the leader of Los Straitjackets, he's toured the world since 1994 playing raw and real rock and roll guitar, always beneath his luchador mask.
During the time we spent deciding which song to perform, the name of the late, great Ronnie Dawson kept coming up.
Both Eddie and Jimmy Sutton had played many live shows with Ronnie in the past, and also made several records with him. Choosing something Ronnie recorded made the most sense. We decided on Ronnie's version of Eddy Clearwater's "Hillbilly Blues" (Eddie Angel had also previously worked with Eddy Clearwater as well!).
