It's not just African American (Black) performing artist that have been given scripts requiring them to wear a dress (or dresses) but White actors (and others) have been required to do the same thing, as a matter of fact, they started this ritual and/or peculiar process. It has been done by many White actors and comedians. For example, recall the movie with Actress, Marilyn Monroe, Some Like It Hot... Her co-stars wore dresses in that movie. This has been going on for quite a long time. Other examples are, Comedian, Milton Burrell, Bob Hope, Groucho Marx, Jerry Lewis, Robin Williams, Arnold, Schwarzenegger, and the list goes on and on, and on. So Black actors are being held to the same longstanding standard. However, the question is, should this continue? Why do some film executives believe it to be necessary? It appears that in order for someone to rise to elite status as a movie star and/or high profile celebrity the performing artist must humiliate and/or defile themselves in some way, and that kind of thing must happen periodically as it's a continuous process. I've even heard about a female performing artist that occasionally eats a bit of human feces on her breakfast toast in the morning alongside her coffee as a way to pay her dues by defiling her body (making herself spiritually and physically unclean) as it's some kind of strange Satanic ritual. There are many ways and means of doing that, but that is the way that's easier for her. The rabbit hole runs deep... these are strange times.
