He's Afro-Brazilian which was one of the reason's I picked him up as a main back in the day. His backstory and connection to the mishima's is so dope too!
I loved playing this character since Tekken 3 and the fact that they will brought him back, makes me really happy. Fun fact in past Tekken games like Tekken 5, Eddy spoke english but by the time it was around Tekken Tag Tournament 2, he gets to speak in his native brazilian language. Also hoping that I will have enough money to buy this game and get into playing this game soon enough 🙏
i CANNOT state just how much I love this character. I was introduced to him in Tekken Tag 1 when I was a kid and I thought it was so freaking cool he was essentially fighting with break dancing moves. Imagine my surprise when he found out his fighting was REAL. Eddy Gordo is definitely one of the fighting game greats just for his presence, his design and for the fact he basically popularized Capoeira
Finally Eddy is here. He is my main. Always has been. Don't worry I will teach you capoeira in Rio. Just got the game just for him and I will be a very difficult character to beat lol.
Apparently the guy that did the mocap for Eddy in Tekken 8 was inspired to learn capoeira by him in Tekken 3, cool-ass story! I know he wept tears of joy when he got that call
He may be black, but he’s predominantly Brazilian. Yall need to stop “claiming” every black person/chaarcter and thinking they have to conform to your standards, fashion choices and appearances Brazilians don’t mind his hair, some of them have similar hair and plus they’re just happy he’s saying some cool Portuguese lines. Next you’ll be saying “why isn’t he speaking English, he’s black isn’t he?”
@@Squidward-jv7go You have it backwards. It's the video game companies making black characters conform to a narrow look and style. That hairstyle was copied from an American actor from an American movie.
