Edelbrock 600 Carburetor Tear Down 

I was watching your video from may 2021 of the Edelbrock 1400 carburetor teardown . I have one of those exact carburators that I used for many years on a 1986 Gmc 3/4 ton truck with a 350 engine , that was used for work and snow plowing . and you are absolutely correct about the emissions tuning of the 1400 . that carburetor is tuned perfectly for emissions , and in fact it also has a fairly well tune for fuel mileage on a 350 engine . but if I remember correctly the 1400 model is actually rated at 625 CFM , which is probably part of it emissions tune. as compared to other 1400 series Edelbrock carburetors such as a 1405 or 1406 which are 600 cfm. as for the external finish it looks to me like that carburetor that you have was used in a part of the country where it snows and they use salt on the roads . because the external finish on mine looks very similar to that one you have .
