Holy cow. I thought you were exaggerating. Looks like this setup is going to run $999 for the jib and another $1800 for the motorized pan/tilt head. I think I'll just attach my camera to a lionel trainset instead.

Great overview. These look like some of the same shots I would want from a 40k robotic arm used in an iPhone commercial or something. Now on a smaller and affordable scale in my home? Fantastic. The shots of cuisine on a restaurant table that I could now get.... a whole new level of work and portfolio. Welcome to the top of my wish list, Edelkrone.

Cheap? This is 1.2k You could find a thousand ways that are cheaper and more versatile than this. Like getting a small drone with a good cam. What does this do? Dollies and pans. You could do the same and more with a well built stabilizer rig.

I have a gimbal, a couple of nice ones as well. It is very hard to get footage like that even with a quality gimbal. And if your a solo shooter, forget it. This thing is automated and can be programmed on your phone. I love it.

You're telling me you cant? Aside from the "Poses" I really don't see the point of this in 2020. However, if this is was a replacement for a larger crane, then 100% I'd want it. But for something which gives you such minimal moving distance, "You could achieve the same out come with a gimbal."

@@KevinLe I think it's pretty easy to justify their pricing: Look at the competition. A full motion control setup (head + slide)? I just looked real fast and could find systems by syrp and rollei (the latter looking really wonky). Both are a bit cheaper, but edelkrone just looks more thought out and complete to me. Smart setup, all-in-one app, slider, jib, heads; all working together seamlessly? - You really get what you pay for here.
