Thanks Surtr. Lovely viewing. At the risk of spoilers, the big solar panels and the outside battery pack don't get washed away by the waves, so together they make a permanent and continuous power supply. No more faffing with wind turbines or small solar panels every wave. I think the big solar panel tooltip gives a clue to this. With the 2 conveyors through the tunnel, if you stand on the top one and excavate the roof as you walk, you can make the tunnel big enough to navigate without the nasty getting stuck issue. If you do get stuck, just dig above you. Still can't wait to see what you make of piloting the spacecraft. It is ok after a minute or so, but that first few seconds are interesting. I wonder if the Wright Bros had the same issues!

dug a hole thru the mountain to get to the cobalt & when I attached a conveyor it cut down thru the mountain - flattening the conveyor route to the foundry. latest thing i "discovered" is that you can Delete (X) items that don't indicate you can and to remove misplaced foundations, you have to destroy them with your tool like you are removing/ leveling the ground. enjoying this demo so far & look forward to the full release!

You can flatten the ground rather quickly by placing and removing habitats.

One idea I tried was to build a refiner (by itself) near the water (with a dedicated pump) and manually feed the cobalt (or uranium) to make the few items I needed them for. No running conveyer belts or water pipe long distances. It worked for me.

That was fun. I wonder if these squares in different materials could be used under a belt...just to have a bit more control over it?? It would be nice to se, also how the foundation works in all!!

When you just want to play the demo and a tsunami is constantly a annoyance. Lol 😆It's cool seeing the progression despite the stupid tsunami.

I finally got around to playing the prologue, and finding sulfur seems to be one of the blocking functions in the game. I am guessing that uranium is another.

If you build the waste bin, it will destroy the item and you won't need to store those random bits of iron ore

Possible to put the ores into a large storage and then use 1 belt down to another storage, where there feed smelters? Maybe I experiment a bit myself. XD. BTW a wave trick to have longer intervals, is to open chat and do command /v 999999 . Can do it when get the warning, wave will be distant again (arrow up for previous commands).

So from what I understand, the tidal waves only destroy the power and the player... not the entire base... Am I correct?

odd about the cobalt refinement as I got water as soon as it was plugged in. Only difference was it had it's own dedicated pump. So it's either that or takes ages to fill the pipe which I don't think is the case

You can use water pumps on land

i think you have a pipe issue like the belt issue... re run the pipe...

Is there a device that tells you when the big waves coming?
