The Israel Broadcasting Authority is part of the European Broadcasting Authority and has therefore been an active participant in the competition since the 1970s. The same goes for Australia, which, like Israel, is not actually in Europe, but still participates. The song itself talks about the pain and loss that Israel experienced in the terrorist attack on October 7 and the dancers represent the wonderful people who came to participate in the Nova festival and were slaughtered by Hamas! Israel has been through an emotional and physical hurricane, but she will come out of it stronger than ever!
The best song this year at Eurovision. Israel has been an integral part of the competition for 50 years. The song powerfully expresses the hurricane that Israel went through on October 7 when terrorist operatives entered from Gaza and killed 1200 and kidnapped Israelis. The drops of water and the tree with the upside down roots and all the words of this amazing song show the strength of the Jewish people and that we will come back to dance despite the situation. And like the Hebrew words at the end of the song, all that remains is to pray for a better future full of love and peace. Australia is also part of this competition. Israel won 🥇 first place 4 times over the years. The winning country gets to host the following year competition. Australis is also competing in the eurovision. Morroco competed in the past. And there are more examples of non-european countries competing in Eurovision. It is not necessary to be a European country in order to compete, at least not in the last 50 years. And btw - Eden is Israeli. She was born here and her parents are ukranian and latvian Jews. When she was 6 years old they moved to Russia due to her father's job, and she returned to Israel 2 years ago. Here she mentions the abductees from their point of view and their thoughts. The upside down tree shows the feeling of the people in Israel. We feel that our roots have been uprooted and our world has been completely turned upside down since October 7th.In addition to this, the upside-down tree shows the hundreds of families who somehow managed to escape from the terrible range and were displaced from their homes when Hamas entered the settlements where they lived and destroyed everything.
