Hi I have a question: P moves under action of single force F. P has position vector r= (t^3 -5t)i + (5t^2+6t)j. Mass of P=0.5kg. At T sec, P is moving in direction of vector (i + 2j). Find T. You first differentiate to get V= I understand that they are parallel vectors. But the MS says that (10T +6) = 2 (3T^2 -5), which I don't get as they are mixing the j and i components. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)
Any vector parallel to (i + 2j) will have a j component that is twice as big as the i component, that's what they have done here: Found out the i and j components of the velocity, and set the j as twice the i 👌
@@AITutor hi sir do you recognise what paper is edexcel alevel maths is from .... A piece of jewellery used in a brooch is in the shape of a segment of a circle. The segment itself is made from the silver metal which costs £1.90 per cm2 It is bordered all the way around by a gold metal trim which costs £2.30 per cm. If the radius of the circle is 4 cm and the angle subtended at the centre is 2π/3 radians, find correct to the nearest penny the cost of the jewellery piece. im a private candidate and tryna find the markscheme.
mate im a little confused about q3 part c. why don't u just use binomial p.d on your calculator. why does that give the wrong answer ? I always get this wrong plz lmk .
Yeah it's all just a complete freestyle, I don't have the mark scheme and I've never actually seen the questions before. I feel it's more natural and useful for students that way, as they get to see the thought process I would go through in an exam situation 😊
for question 10b, why did you have to use the formula s=ut+(0.5*a*t^2) ? I understand everything else, except the reason behind why we must use this formula thanks!
I don't understand part f) of q 3. for Thomas, the probability of gettting your FIRST dart on target increases, how does that show his probability that a dart hits the target increases? Thanks
I think it's getting at the fact that it's modelled as the alpha being added each time, that's what Thomas deduced and think about a person shooting a ball into a net that is far away and give them 5 attempts, in each attempt the person may adjust their shots hence increasing the likelihood of scoring. Hope that helps!
