you just look it up online. idk what exam board this is but just type in (insert exam board) a level maths data set (but make sure you get the current one because they can change some years. When you have it you just have to memorise certain things on it. there might be some vids on it. like for example for aqa (the exam board i do) you have to know the propulsion types, the car types etc etc
Hi, With these sorts of questions how would you label the reaction force at A. I’ve looked at videos where the reaction force has a vertical and horizontal component I understand that by taking moments from A we eliminate the need to do this but in other questions how would you do this.
@@PMTEducation Hi, The question involves a bar. The best example i know is Edexel a level Mechanics 2018 question 4, regarding the reaction force at A.
Hi. In the question covered in the video (question 9 overall, question 4 of the mechanics section), the tension force (T) has a horizontal component toward the wall. Therefore point A will experience a horizontal reaction force from the wall, in order to maintain equilibrium. Additionally, the question states the wall is "rough", implying a vertical friction force at point A. These two components comprise the forces at point A, and would be labelled as such. Hope this helps!
