Not only is Edgar a cool, great guy, he oozes class, with an intelligent, sense of humour. I used my desire to see Johnny, Derringer and himself together, as an excuse to finally visit New York. Both he and Johnny were uniquely, prodigious wonders of the like we'll never see...thank you, guys!!

Listen to Edgar's saxophone work on Todd rundgrens fair warning, from the album initiation. He's an incredible player no matter the instrument!! An American icon!!

Once again Jonsey brings out a great interview from someone who has done thousands of them and makes it seem like Edgar’s first interview. Well done!

Jonsey seems to cut through all the practiced responses people have by just being who he is. I really love this program, and Jonesy is an excellent interviewer.

A friend played for Edgar for a good while and I was able to meet and hang out with Edgar one night. Truth is; he's just that nice of a guy. A legend with no pretense whatsoever. I watch this interview and it's the same guy. Genuine, and I think he just likes people. What Jonesy does very well, now that I watch these interviews; he asks a question and gets out of the way...and that really is a talent.

Few days ago I was watching a Howard Jones Interview and he mentioned Edgar Winter seeing him in concert and how amazing he was then I watched the arp history of synthesizers tonight ,, folks I just now discovered who Edgar is , I have listen to Gary Wright , Patrick Cowley , Giorgio Moroder , Vince Clark , Kraftwerk , Howard Jones , so many more I am amazed ,, what a wonderful man and amazing talent ,, I Love it that he is from Texas ,,,so now I know who really was brave enough and creative enough to make the synthesizer a musical interment I had heard the songs in my youth and his name Edgar Winter and even photographs but today it all came together in the most pure ignorant pleasant way now I know who edger Winter is ,,

Love you and this interview Edgar. Have seen you many times and Johnny a few more. Appreciate the tribute to your brother. He was my guitar guy, hands down. The talent between you is unmatched as brothers. I just listened to an interview with you and Johnny and he wouldn’t shut up!.. I have never heard him talk so much and reveal his personality. Drugs robbed a lot from him but he was always the man to me. I really enjoyed this very much. Can’t wait to hear the album you referenced.

Edgar really is a great musician and person. Really down to Earth with no pretense. If you haven’t seen the 1969 video of he and Johnny doing Tobacco Road, you should. It’s on here. Edgar is definitely a Hall of Farmer but it doesnt sound like he’s losing sleep over it.

Edgar is so into it, when he dies he will land in a piano seat and just carry on where he left off. His enthusiasm, he seems more like 23 than past 65. I love how he looks the same as he always did. Edgar always had his own thing, and inspired everyone he met. Jonesy is great, lets Edgar tell the tales, and it all went by so fast. Really enjoyed this.

You know I’ve heard it said there’s beauty in distortion. By some people who are drawn to find it. Now they say there’s humor in misfortune. I wonder if they’ll laugh when I am dead. CHORUS Why am I fighting to live if I’m just living to fight? Why am I trying to see when there aint nothing in sight? Why am I trying to give when no one gives me a try? Why am I Dying to live if I’m just living to die? Now some people say that failings are subjective, But they’re just picking words that someone else has said. And so they live and fight and kill without objective, sometimes it’s hard to tell the living from the dead. CHORUS Now I used to weave my words into confusion, And so I hope you’ll understand me when I’m through. See I used to live my life as an illusion, but reality will make my dream come true. So I’ll keep fighting to live till there’s no reason to fight. And I’ll keep trying to see until the end is in sight. You know I’m trying to give so come on give me a try. You know Im dying to live, until I’m ready till I’m ready till I’m ready heyyyy until I’m ready to die. DAMMMNNN EDGAR! Fkn beautiful
