Honestly, the best part of Edge’s return was the look on his face when he comes out of the smoke. You can tell that even he was unprepared for how big the reaction was, he looked legitimately overwhelmed.
Literally the first two words of his entrance theme sent me into another dimension… I’m not afraid to admit that I cried because I legit NEVER thought I would see him again as a wrestler… one of my all time favorites
Bro I was 34 years old when Edge returned at the Royal Rumble. I drove 16 hours to Miami when Edge was inducted into the hall of fame. As a man I'm not afraid to admit, when Edge came out of that smoke, I cried as well.
brother i dont watch wwe anymore for idk how many years all i know is i cried like a baby when this happend not one shame and not one scared thought real men cry at this cause he made our childhoods, teens, adulthoods so much better
Y'know, not for nothin', but the fact that _seeing him_ generated a pop twice as loud as the _fireworks that accompanied his entrance_ shows just how beloved Edge was, and hell, still is.
All you gotta hear is "You think you know me" then the crowd goes wild! Myself included even though I wasn't there physically I watched it from home and jumped out of my seat.
I genuinely think that this RR entrance is, and forever will be, the best ever RR entrance. Absolutely nothing can beat the emotion and joy that I think every single person felt when they heard the words 'You think you know me'.
I can only convert this song to mp3 from yt and store to my phone as the original version is different. and I only learned about metalingus because of edge.
People who aren't fans of the WWE would never understand the amount of emotion fans felt when hearing those words chime in at RR. Especially long-time fans. Edge deserved the intense response he got with his return.
So glad it happened in January before the world came to a standstill a couple of months later. This return would have been WASTED without a sold-out crowd.
@@TheGeekBox sitting there watching, enjoying, spending time with homies and other family members are precious moments. then the discussion after the match is also a way of connecting since everybody can relate.
I'm not ready for his final retirement. His return at the Royal Rumble was one of the happiest days of my life. I'm still crying with emotion watching this.
Coming up on 4 years after this return, it’s still one of the best returns I’ve seen, especially being in attendance for it. I’ll never forget that moment
Being from just outside Toronto edge is my favourite wrestler and I can’t watch his return without tears in my eyes, literally every times it gets me. One of those happy wrestling moments we all love this for
Still makes me cry watching it back... that and danielson getting "its the final countdown" belted at him by a packed forbidden door crowd are the 2 most emotional moments of the last 5 years, if/when randy orton returns im gonna be a blubbering wreck 😅😅
My favorite reactions are the ones where the streamer looks so uninterested in the Rumble (and for one person nearly falling asleep) then as soon as "You think you know me" plays, they're immediately wide awake and jumping all over the place. That's how shocking that return was and how beloved Edge is. To go 9 long years without any hope of wrestling again, then suddenly a spill on a bicycle brought him back. Life's wild, man.
Edge return at the 2020 Royal Rumble will hold a place in my heart forever 💯💯💯😭🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I was trying so hard to not lose my mind in my house. But if i was in my house by myself the neighbors would've heard me screaming i promise 😭
Edge is the reason I’m a wrestling nerd… since 2006, Edge has been my favorite wrestler… to me, when Edge retired 2011, I cried… and with him gone, WWE felt like it had a massive void, so I stopped watching for like 8 years… then I picked it up again, every few months for a ppv at a wrestling party with my friends… then when this happened, I had already heard rumors but, I didn’t believe em, cause those same rumors I had heard before and never came true… but this time, when I chose not to believe them, I was smacked by them when I heard “You think you know me?”… I cried again after the couple of minutes it took my brain to process all the emotions and thought I was experiencing simultaneously… and now, I’m always looking forward to his next feud!
Soooo true. It truly felt like WWE went south as soon as he left. The stranger thing is WWE got better and much more watchable in what year? Oh yeah, 2020 lolol.
Like... Jordynne Grace? That was a much bigger surprise. Edge was known about before RR 2020... Grace kinda also was known, but it was still a bigger surprise.
Honestly the bigger part of this wasn't just Edge in the rumble for a "special appearance" he confirmed the next night on raw that he was there permeant (besides injuries). I feel like a lot of superstars come back for one night (usually RR) such as Carlito (who may or may not be coming back) or Beth Phoenix (besides the program with Miz and Maryse and the Judgement day). Also I feel like Edge can NEVER go heel now which is a kind of shame because he was AWESOME AS A HEEL!
4:22 "There was a huge cheer, we didn't see who was it and it's edge!" Bro don't you hear "you think you know me"? 6:11 bro at the right started reacting before the music hit😅
4:08 I get that dude couldn't SEE Edge, but how in the absolute hell do you NOT know the music? Edge's theme is one of the most recognizable songs in WWE History. Should've been obvious who it was by the music alone, if not by the "You think You know Me"
@@prismfireproductions3772 his audio wasn’t muted. You can clearly hear the audio coming from whatever he’s watching it on. Besides he heard the pop. Explain that.
I cant get over the reaction thats in the bar. Even the bar tenders were excited. I miss bars that would casually show WWE PPVs, instead of it being requested.
*"ON THIS DAY, I SEE CLEARLY, EVERYTHING HAS COME TO LIFE. BITTER PLACE, AND A BROKEN DREAM, AND WE'LL LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND!! ON THIS DAY, IT'S SO REAL TO ME, EVERYTHING HAS COME TO LIFE. ANOTHER CHANCE, TO CHASE A DREAM, ANOTHER CHAAANCE TO FEEL, CHAAAANCE TO FEEL ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!"*
I’m glad I’m not a wrestler cause edge was one of my favorites growing up and if I would had been in the ring during the time he came back I would had started crying
i have been an edge fan since he first appeared with the brood. i was doing the same thing jumping up and down screaming at the tv. my wife had to tell me to be quite cause the kids are sleeping lol.
I love it cuz it shows what this is all about.. and how much those legends mean and are loved and appreciated 🔥🔥 I mean watching RR, streaming some were on their phone some just noting off and then that “You Think You know me” goes on and everyone just jumps on their feat and the adrenaline shot at that moment I mean when I watched it and similar to this one moments it’s indescribable.. You got chills, feel like You’re able to walk on the roof top screaming to let it out and just can’t stand stil.. this was history making moment and a bird to medicine specialist who told Him He can’t do it no more😅 that’s the definition of ProWrestler- tough SOB inside the ring and out.. a better men breaded by darkest days 🙌🙌 much respect that was one of the most inspirational moment 💪💪👏👏✌️✌️
I was watching it and the moment I heard the whisper I freaking screamed loud enough for my mother to come running in the room (I was 25 at time)... Then she saw Edge, and despite never being into wrestling SHE cried
I was never a huge fan of edge because the attitude era had so many great wrestlers but I always felt he was a wrestler the regular guys could look up to because he wasn’t that big but he wrestled with the best of them
Edge actually peaked during the ruthless aggression era. Especially his feud with cena and taker in 07-08. He was the most hated and biggest heel that time when triple h got injured and turned face, besides randy orton. Also becoming the ultimate opportunist while cashing in on taker
*returns *Has one of the best runs of his career *Casually Wins the royal rumble *Even more casuslly main events WrestleMania *Has a awesome last match with Sheamus *Leaves
No. Pure hated heel. An all-time great heel (2005). Only HHH 02, Orton 09, Jericho 00 can compete, maybe. Of course, due to his amazing work, it garners boundless respect, which everyone has to love.
