EDGE was a bad motor scooter. A definite HOFer and needs to get there pronto. Maybe they will have Peyton induct him. Edge was one of the finest RB'S coming out of college I've ever seen. Something truly special was E. J.

Colts went from 3-13 to 13-3 in Edge's Rookie Year. I went to a lot of these games and it was a fun team to watch.

I remember that year. Colts fans didn't know what to expect after trading Faulk to the Rams then surprising everybody in the draft picking Edge over Ricky Williams.

I was too young to really remember him playing, so I can't say I really fully understood what the hype surrounding him was about, talking with other people who had. Seeing this, I understand perfectly. Fantastic running back, especially in this, his rookie year!

Think his rookie year was good? His second year he rushed for 1700+. He won the rushing title both of those first years. His third year probably would've been as good but that's when he blew out his acl. He still had two more seasons 1500+ with the colts. 3 seasons with 2000+ all purpose. The guy was a phenom.

All of these years later, watching Edge now, he does remind you of Barry Sanders. His change of direction and acceleration is just sick! If not for that bullshit knee injury in KC, Edge would have started off his career with 3 straight seasons as the league's rushing leader and I firmly believe to this day, Edge would been the all-time yards leader today. Thrilled that this dude finally got into the Hall!!!

This was fun to watch..loved E James back in the day..seeing him and Peyton get some good chemistry together put a smile on my face every Sunday...and Edgerrin was such a good dude as well..hope he makes it into the Hall of Fame...dont know if he had HOF numbers..dude was a complete player..run it..catch it..block when needed..put him in Canton...))

The man was a beast with the ball in his hands made me forget all about Faulk and i was piss when we traded him for Edgerin but how soon i forgot about him thank you Edgerin.congratulations on ur HOF selection.

I think you did an excellent job. I hope you'll put Year 2 of EJ(1700 + yards) online. The NFL can not ignore this athlete. He had been in the HOF since his first year of eligiblity.

Pre-ACL James was simply incredible. He was still great after the ACL, but this version of Edge had a burst and explosion he lacked after tearing his ACL

Know running back kept the chains moving like EJ He understood what he had to do as far as what his role was, the most proficient running back as you'll ever see in every category. If you're not convinced rushing 12264 yards rushing 3364yrds catching.

I was piss when the colts traded marshall and I'm like who in the hell is James, but after seeing him in his rookie year I was like good trade Edge was a Beast I hated that he got hurt and the colts traded him the year before they won the super bowl Edge was the truth.My favorite colt of all time.

@@KB-kw8ni that ain't no joke man. Damn shame. It shouldn't matter what dude had in his mouth or what he wore or how he talked. Only thing that should matter is what he did between the lines. Edge was one of the most versatile backs the league has seen. 11th all-time leading rusher at the time of his retirement and 15th all-time on the TD scoring list. If he doesn't tear his ACL then personally I think he would've continued to wow the stat line and fans alike.

I'm so glad we drafted him over Ricky Williams. I mean Ricky was one hell of a talent but everything he could do, Edge could do better. Edge had that "U" mentality and came to work everyday. On and off the field. And after all that razzle dazzle, power running, catching everything thrown his way, he now gets to sit comfortably and deservingly alongside the great running backs this game has ever seen. When watching him I was on "the edge" of my seat. Welcome to Canton baby!!!

Would have been interesting to see how things would have turned out if peyton, marvin, edge. Would have started out with dungy and that 06 colts playoff defense. Either way edge definitely was a special player.

I'm a huge Colts fan and I don't remember him having that type of agility. I remember his short pass game and then power moves. For like 5-6 years straight he had the most 5-7 yard carries. They just couldn't bring him down. That's what I remember, Edge pushing piles.

He lost speed and agility after his tore his ACL in his third season. Still, he never lost that vision, balance and power. Still remmeber him running well asa Cardinal late in his career.
