Not gonna lie, when I first saw the anime was based off of Cyperpunk, I expected the worst as I usually hate game adaptations, but when I started watching I couldn't stop, amazing anime. 10/10. Also Great Video!

I think this anime is so sad and impactful because you can basically anytime you like go to almost anywhere the characters went and just sit and spend as long as you like there and even sometimes find evidence that they were there which kind of makes it like a "based on a true story" feel to it

If you folks like the anime and the 2077 game, y'all might want to consider trying out Mike Pondsmith's Cyberpunk RED, the TTRPG in which the game and anime were based upon. Also, if you have the PC version of the 2077 game, you get the digital copy of Cyberpunk 2020 rule book (which is a prequel to RED) as a bonus.

finally someone has something more to say than "bugs". Everyone just repeats it over and over like they forgot what words are. Great honest review. It doesn't follow closely characters from the game but they are there and play key roles and clues you into a couple missions in the game.

Honestly, if Mike Pondsmith works with another game studio to produce something, I'm actually hoping it's like "Shadowrun Returns/Trilogy". By this I mean the Isometric Tactics RPG, like, maybe the guys behind Divinity: Original Sin 2 could take a crack at it. I think CDPR are at the very least "attempting" to salvage this wreck, but I truly believe that handing it off to a studio like that might not be a bad idea. Like, maybe a partnership/collab between CDPR and a studio like that? It'd allow them to focus on the storytelling, world interaction, and roleplaying elements we sorely lacked in 2077 (other than in certain instances like the entire Clouds bit, which in my honest opinion was one of the most immersive experiences I've had in gaming). It wouldn't even need to be tied into 2077, it could be tied into Red instead, it's about roughly 30 years prior to 77, so there's enough there to differentiate it. I know I'm just spitballing but damn, the potential has always been there, I just feel like Edgerunners saw what many of us have since shit like Bladerunner.

Man, walking through Night City with Raytracing in the night feels magical af. I'm so glad that this universe got expanded in such a good way and that people start recognizing the game for it's strenghts.

I love cyberpunk as a genre and despite all its flaws 2077 was an amazing experience for me. When I watched Edgerunners I knew it had to end and more or less how. Yet all I wanted was more.

The world building is great. Got me wanting to try the ttrpg whi h the anime and game follow.

you said something what im saying to my friends but no body else here on youtube. they played tennis a bit with the script back and forth and the west ( netflix and poland ) and east ( japan ) had a perfect mix. japanese only productions are legendary for a reason but if you look at some of their western adaptations like howls moving castle or animatrix you will find out its the best when they do that. it almost feels like im using both half of my brain or how should i put it. i get the glorious anime stlye and animation but without the usual generic lines or sound effects/music
