Well done, Sadie! I know that the others are trying to get the chateau ready for your dad's 80th birthday. If you need to help out with that, I would watch those videos too. Whatever you're able to film for us is fine with me. It's always nice to see you and see what you're up to. Hope you have a peaceful evening, Sadie. 💖
Having been a tile contractor, carpenter/cabinet maker, I applaud you for doing the hardest part of remodeling. Making the effort to do the work yourself. family videos for a few years now, and
You are doing a great job Sadie. I like how the trim faucet and cabinet hardware are similar. The copper back splash is inspired! I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day ❤️
You’re a brave girl Sadie, I don’t know if I would have tried cutting the trim myself. You did an exceptional job, now the backsplash looks finished. I doubt that there’s anything you can’t do by yourself!
Sadie when I see you struggling with the little things that seem so simple when the experts tell you what do, I remember back when I started renovating on my own. Keep going, you are learning day by day and then one day you can show Olivia. 👍🇦🇺
You Rock Sadie! Looks fantastic! I recommend doing the other vertical line down on the other side making it properly framed. From one DIY Gal to another, when you use the yellow box call a Miter box you lay the strip of the material your cutting on the floor of the box up against one of the walls it makes for a steady surface to cut. No worries about videos you all are working to make your Dad a fantastic 80th Birthday!
Great job with the edging. I can only imagine how your body aches at the end of the day. Taking care of the horses, and then renovating...........a long hard day. Little by little, the apartment will be done. When you move in, you'll still find things to change or up-grade! Take care, keep well, keep smiling 🙂❤
Just a thought ... when I only need a small amount of paint for something I buy a sample pot, saves buying a larger tin that won't all get used. It's looking lovely! ❤
Hi Sadie, great job and kudos to you for tackling the cuts. If you look at the miter box it probably has a lip on the bottom that is meant to sit over the edge of counter for stability. It is also meant for the piece being cut to sit flat on the base and not wedged above in the air. This is so you can make perfect cuts, 90 or 45 degrees. You just need a saw with a longer blade to be able to drop to the bottom of the guide slots.
Good Job Sadie! I love the gold contrast against the copper and it blends nicely with the faucet and taps. You’re doing great and the apartment will look beautiful when done. ❤❤
Soo excited for what your doing! Can't wait to see whats next. Your looking so good > just like your brother's...just smart inside out & fun beautiful. ❤ Like the idea of what your doing with the trim. Those horses & your daughter are soo❤ blessed having you. So excited about all the prep for your family reunion with your dad's 80th 🎉🎉❤❤
I think you should do a 3rd step of gold across the back of the sink as well to tye it all in. As well as the left side going down. You should frame it all the way around.
My dear Sadie. You are doing so well. When trying a new task, it might be helpful to look to RU-vid for instructions. Love seeing you take on new challenges.
The edging looks great. Sadie you can do anything on your own.You are your fathers daughter. The only one that can hold you back is yourself. Look forward not back.😀
I think your using the mitre box wrong the item that you cut should be flat in the base of the box the the saw goes in the groove to what angle you want hope that helps for other things.but well done.
Hi Sadie, perfect, the gold was the best color choice. It does match the tap and the pulls. You did an excellent job. Well done. It looks perfect. Love from N.Y.
I'm sure you can do it in more ways, but if you lay the piece of edging in the yellow holder. It will give you more support when you cutting it and will help cut it in the right angle. Well done, it looks amazing, Sadie. 🤎🧡
In the light coming lin the color of the edging is perfect do not let some nay sayerr diskuridge you it is your home not theird just would love to see more of the horses 😊😊😊❤
Sadie, I am glad you stayed with the gold. It looks great. I was thinking if you had someone to hold the miter box, it would have helped you. Another skill complete.
Excellent work Sadie. You are doing so well. You may not have the knowledge but you have the will and determination. What else is required? 😊❤. So very proud of you. Keep up the good work.
Well done Sadie not the easiest of things but you can do anything you put your mind to taking your time and getting it done :) Hello to the horses et al :) Olivia and family too of course :)
Kudos for muddling your way through this Sadie, but that is not even close to how you use that miter box (the yellow block with the slots in it). Get a quick demo from one of the fellows on how it works for next time (nothing hard about it) and you'll be amazed at what you can come up with when you need it again.
Hi Sadie...Just a tip for next time, how you install L trim, is that half goes behind the tiles when they are installing the tile. Which leaves the other side as edging along the cut edges. There isn't suppose to be any part of the trim on the face/front of the tile. Good job H
A little tip: I use a piece of anti slip fabric for under floor mats to put my slippy tools on. I cut it into pot holders shapes too for opening jars lids. That stuff is great for gripping lots of things. a Piece under my Mixing bowl and under my bread machine stops them from walking across the counter. My brother uses it to line his toolbox so the tools don't slide back and forth when he opens and closes the drawers. It comes in white, clear, blue for different purposes and is make out of spongy stuff, rubber or silicone. I like the blue spongy siliconey stuff best. The Gold Trim looks wonderful!
Morning Sadie. You did a great job cutting the trim. It looks good. You have done quite a bit this past week. Keep up the good work. Have a great day. Hope you had a nice Mother’s Day
Sadie, for the future, please watch a video on how to use a miter saw. It will make your life easier. The trim should have been lying flat on the bottom so you didn’t have to try and hold it while it was in the air. You will get a much better cut.
You are a very apt person and you gain confidence by, ahhhhmmmm “doing it yourself “. and you vlog and put your self out there and I’m inspired by you 🍀✌️💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
