You can put warm water in the tank, but if you put water that’s too hot and run it through the pump it can damage the pump. Also, hot water will not reach the temperature that it will with the heater.

Thanks for your question! It doesn't heat the water in the tank. The water from the tank is pumped into the Heat N' Run where it is heated and then it continues in the solution line to the wand. Once you turn on the machine and pump water into the heater, it takes about 5 minutes to get hot water.

You should easily be able to switch out one of the female connectors with a male connector.

I do that all the time with my extractors, hoses, and wands.

Thanks for tour feedback. Check your solution hose, it should tell you what psi and temperature it is rated for.

It can be used with other carpet cleaning extractors as well. EDIC has mounting brackets automatically on their machines, but it will work with other machines. You just have to think about how you want to mount it to the extractor.

Thank you for your question! The heater is a 15 amp heater.

You will have to check with Prochem on that but it works with many machines.

@@gaynorkear9643 The EDIC machine it is built for does not need modifying. You will have to check with other manufacturers for extractors made my other companies.
