The R1700BTs sound surprisingly good considering their size. I didn't expect them to be so close.

I have the R1850DB, when nearfield on a desk they are pretty ok. For further distance or living room use they tend to get muddy with overhyped upper treble. In this comparison the 2750 has a more open sound.

Is it just me or do the low frequencies sound much more better and intense on the 1700? I own the 1700 and the bass is really good, but I expected even more from the much bigger 2750s (I plan to use those in the living-room).

R1700BTs are much more boomy than R2750DBs. Also, R2750DBs are brighter on the mids and can be smoother on the highs.

I have edifier DA 5000 pro 5.1 using it for last 7 years...but now I want to replace them with R2750 2.0 speakers. Is it worth?

I have been told that Edifier in general does not provide good sound and this has come to my attention because of the very good comments I have heard on this channel. In my country, Argentina, there is not a single store that has Edifier equipment, except for the official store which, unfortunately, does not have a showroom and they only sell their products online. In other words, I would have to buy it without having heard it. Could you help me decide? Do you think I should "risk" buying it? I have been told that Edifier is not hifi and provides sound far below any hifi stereo system. Is that true? Does this Edififer model worth it? Are there maybe some better options for the same price? El 1700BT suena abrumador los bajos , pero si le bajas el bass con la perilla sonaria mejor , sonaria cercano al 2750 aunque me esperaba mayor diferencia el 2750 por su precio y tamaño. Ambos me parece muy buenos.

I think the minor( to my ear) differences between the two is a testament to the quality that edifier puts into even their lower end speakers. Naturally the 2750 has more mid and low range punch.

Owned the Edifier RT 1800, great for movies and anything casual. Bought the JBL 305 P MK II, at your recommandation for music listening and don't regret a second. Details that i never knew were there in songs came to life. Best investment that i ever made. Totally in a different league.
