That Blackwing player probably didn’t chain MST out of fear of Imperial custom, but tbh, that was just overthinking High skilled players when they face jank sometimes just can’t handle it lol
It’s so cool to see that the Uria OTK deck is gaining popularity!🔥 it’s one of my favorite decks ever! I play 3 rykos, 1 Lyla, and charge of the light brigade to mill more and make Uria bigger. And at the same time get rid of other problematic monsters or their backrow
Just tested oppression vs imperial custom in ygopro, the trap monster summon is negated but the card remains face-up in the spell/trap zone and is not destroyed. However, I'm not 100% sure this is accurate to edison because trap monsters in edison work differently to modern and exist in both zones at once and book of mooning a trap monster returns it face-down to the spell/trap zone. Should work the same though. About the Icarus play, from Konami OCG FAQ (no reason it shouldnt work the same way if the traps were already on board as tcg/ocg are the same once this is true): If "Imperial Custom" is active and an effect like "Heavy Storm" or "Demise, King of Armageddon" or "Malevolent Catastrophe" would destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field, then "Imperial Custom" is destroyed, but all other face-up Continuous Trap Cards are not destroyed and remain on the field.
You could chain ultimate offering to itself, but I believe that ruling was changed. It was used to cheat your life down for last turn and stuff like that
Seeing Uria reminds me of the beasts and how when I was eleven in 2007 I had a monarch deck powered by crystal beasts as an engine, lamenting I had no access to rare value and HAMON But I don't suppose Hamon goes anywhere in Edison, as crystal beasts are already kind of a meme ?
To answer your question on Ultimate Offering, you can flip it and activate the effect simultaneously so that the effect is CL1 (same as Royal Oppression). This ruling was introduced in 2007 I think it was, neither of those cards work like that it Goat Format, they need to already be face up to activate their effects, and therefore they suck.
