Hi Brad - just a quick note to say thanks so much for the videos. I've recently started a RU-vid channel following a very serious RTA in 2020, which unfortunately left me without any vision at all to my right hand side. The brain is an incredible thing - and I'm learning adjust my focus as a edit and produce music - it's just very tiring. Hence the time I have each day to edit is limited and valuable. Your tips are proving invaluable to me - speeding up my workflow, making me focus on specific tasks before I have to take a break. I have ordered the Monogram console today, in the same configuration as per your setup. I genuinely hadn’t come across them before. I’ve also picked up some really helpful tips from you on multicam editing and compound clips today. Great tips with the macros, and I find Monogram really does help, especially with color correction. One thing that might save time in the future is that there is an unassigned command called "Silence" built in to FCP. You can assign it to the zero key even with the regular FCP command editor.
I am new to editing and feel like this would be a huge plus for me to even move a bit fast because I am also a new dad so time is limited but I love to edit this gives me exactly what I would need at the push of one button. 🔥💯
Hey Brad and Donna, you guys are amazing and my go to channel for editing in Final Cut I'm a huge fan...I recently seen videos of other my seasoned editors (than myself) make videos of tools like the razor trinity naga mouse, Contour shuttle pro V2, and also the Loupdeck. Not sure if you've heard of these.

So, I gotta ask, did you just use your standard camera/slider/lens setup for teh closeups on the Monogram CC? Looked *almost* like the infamous "telescope" lens
Ah man, I wish I had one of those Laowa probe lenses! I just used my Tamron 16-35mm on the Sony A7iii. Cropped in a bit on camera and used the short focus distance to my advantage to get the shots 😊👍🏼
I haven’t personally used a Loupedeck so I can’t make a direct comparison. But I love a few things about the Monogram CC. I love the fact that it is modular, so I can change the layout of the keys and dials whenever I want. I can customize each button and assign colors to the LED lights which help me remember what each button does. I love that I can also creat my own macros within FCP using the console. 😄👍🏼

When you go to CommandPost’s website and click on download, it scrolls down to a text link that says “Download CommandPost here”. Did you download it from there?
